I just came here to find out if these china specials really work, I only need an oz a month and my trusty $100 hps 600w has provided but Ive had many problems over summer due to heat, so thats my only interest in LED and based on this thread I ordered 2 lights both 480W one for a backup.
So thanks to all posters for the good info.

Try looking on ebay. I'm in the UK but there was a guy from NC selling QB-style lights on ebay UK. He uses the lm301h diodes and has them with Red/Far red added. Price for 250W V3 light is currently $210. He's called hygrow_lighting_solutions

As I said previously Ive already ordered the lights, and I will add now that they have been paid in full.

kingbrite reps gets butthurt when you mention Meijiu lol. Ive done that to try and lower the price for a qb but they wont budge and they say buy from Meijiu then.

Kingbrites cheaper for boards overall. In my instance I was just trying to get faster shipping that’s why I brought up Meijius pricing with kingbrite

change reps. Try vivi Liu. she speaks good English and I bought all my veg qbs from her. They might get butthurt about rep changes but say you’re having problems with your current one

meiju price is 3000k 80cri or 90cri? some guys told me lead time is 4 months for 3000k/3500K 80cri, crazy......

Meijiu said price is more expensive for 90cri but if inorder asap they will still honor the pricing.

Ok I heard back on kingbrite quote this morning it was much better. Roughly 265ea for 90cri vs 249ea for 80cri. I'm going to see if shipping is roughly the same cost door to door by sea. I've heard that King Brite has better warranty and customer service response than meijiu so it might actually be be worth the slight upcharge

My strips from Kingbrite just arrived and they're gorgeous. They were packed perfectly. I took forever to decide on drivers so I probably won't have those for a few more days, but I'm super excited to fire these up.

Can you order the strips without drivers?

Yes, I ordered the strips from Kingbrite and the drivers much later from mouser. I wanted to buy the drivers domestically because it didn't make sense having them shipped from China and if there's an issue I won't have to ship them all the way back for servicing

The strips are 560mm, 70w, 48v boards from Kingbrite. Six are 3000k and six are 4000k. All white, no reds or ir. I ordered an hlg-320h-48ab for the 3000k strips (which I'll use for flower) and an hlg-185h-48ab for the 4000k strips (for veg).

Kingbrite is definitely legit, if their is a industry shortage (understandable given the current situation) I believe them.
