The us political system is weird to me in many ways and I don't understand it really, but it does not sound good to me that the justice department is handling the presidents defense like that. Seems wrong. I would not expect that to happen in my country.

Such things can only happen because Trump's base cannot face who he really is and the Senate is aiding and abetting his crimes. They have so much invested in their fantasy of him as an honorable, godly man who is a shrewd businessman and crusader for democracy that they cannot let any part of the truth seep into their cement-like heads. Conmen have always known that the easiest people to con are those that they have already conned before. This allows them to avoid the realization that they are gullible dumb-asses for as long as possible.

My older sister comes to mind. She has been taken in three separate romance scams - probably by the same small group of Nigerians. Each was just so obvious and I did my best to expose them (this took almost no effort and was quite definitive). But coming to the realization that, not only had she been scammed, but that there was no handsome, wealthy man who loved her and would take care of her for the rest of her life, was unbearable to her. She is now part of a pro-Trump militia that patrols the border against invading "beaners".

Yes, I know. It is making me as tense as a long-tailed cat locked in a room full of rocking chairs.

I am very concerned that this support will grow in the coming months after the Putin/Trump strategy of further fomenting violence in our cities. Its coming. Blood will flow. Hundreds, maybe thousands will die and Trump will proclaim that he is not responsible.

I would not be surprised if there are bombings. They are so easy to organize. Just ask Vlad.

I especially like the $11,000 they spent on Faraday pouches to use at fundraisers to ensure that attendees cannot record him.

But the millions spent on 2 Superbowl ads to feed his ego... hilarious. That shit pays off well for the boat-owning rubes. Better than banging a pornstar.
