It's my civic duty to stimulate the economy

Since I spent my stimulus check on property taxes and paying off my cellphone.

I don't know if I should get an expensive 12' HD step ladder or order some Omaha steaks.

I'm kind of hungry and leaning towards the steaks.

And I'd have some dry ice to play with. Maybe. I'd ask for extra, tell them it's pretty hot here lately.

I need some ideas on other economy stimulation.

I probably need some things but haven't thought of them yet. All ideas will be considered.

The steaks recommend themselves, especially coming with a side of dry ice.

I read that first sentence as Obama steaks. I was like, "is this a new DNC voting strategy?"

You were supposed to spend that? Mine came in a card, and I had a hell of a time getting my banks to deal with it. On the 3rd one I was able to cash it out. I put ours in the safe for now.

But if you like free cooling apparatus, buy online chocolate when it's 95F out. What Walmart.com will ship changes from day to day, but we bought the party size of Special Dark Chocolate Kisses and got a nice foam ice chest and two of those cool bags thrown in. Tried again when we could get the regular kisses shipped, and they came wrapped a flexible piece of insulation with two of the cool bags.

I only like dry ice and I only like the chocolate they make at a local place here. The guy who owns it looks like Willie Wonka. Good chocolate, nice guy.

Hershey, Pa. is not far away. They have special dark chocolate kisses for street lights there and the whole town reeks of chocolate from the factory.

Spend a night there and you get sick of that sweet smell that doesn't even get you high.

Go to Hershey Park and you have people dressed up like candy bars handing out more candy bars. Fuck those chocolate kisses, too much sugar won't make you sweet.

And the old chocolate factory tours are virtual now. You walk along walls and they show factory movies on them. No contaminating the chocolate with an actual tour group through the factory for decades.

So far, I just got a new set of Allen wrenches and a couple six packs of IPA.

And some snacks at the Giant Eagle deli counter to hold me over until I order in some steaks. Unless I get the ladder.

I need to climb and eat, not really sure in what order yet. But I am getting hungry again.

Wow. Are you following me around on my midnight rambles? Even when I sleep down at the other end of the farm, I'll drive up and do the fruit trail. Grapes and pairs are in season at the moment. (the abyss is not endless. Just a six foot ladder and a cheap ass camera)

One of hub's classes visited Hershey. He said his teeth began to hurt when they got close to the plant LOL.

OK, I'm really ready to do some economy stimulating.

20200819_130109.jpg

A $332 positive balance after a refund from Amazon for a July order that never came. Amazon's truck delivery service is run by the Soprano family. Shit turns up missing.

I can smell those Omaha steaks all the way from Nebraska.

And the wife just picked me up some Terry Ho's Yum Yum sauce, the beige stuff at the Japanese steak houses.

Heaven is a positive credit card balance, as rare as a martian eclipse.

Actually, they owe me $50 more.

It's bad enough when they "lose" an order, even worse when they fuck up the refund.

I only had to make 11 phone calls to the truck carriers (3 different ones) and 15 emails, 6 chat sessions and 4 phone calls to Amazon to finally get it straightened out. Hopefully, the $50 comes tomorrow. They promised it a day after the bigger refund that came through today.

They made so many mistakes, I have an email addy that they actually answer right away now until I'm completely satisfied AND a $75 coupon towards my next Amazon order. Lol.

Thanks Leahna whoever you are.

Nice ladder. I finally spent $1.5K of my Uncle Sugar money on stump grinding and bobcat work. Happy with the price and the work, so most likely will get them to do some more.
