I have one set up and I stg it does literally nothing. It’s set up to suck the air through the filter not blow air through it. Anyone have these fans and have any advice?
Yeah it exhaust fine, blows tons of air. I’m gonna look into slowing it down but I’ll also check to see if I missed a remove first piece lol I’d do some dumb shit like that for sureeeAssembled backwards?
Not joking - check to see that the flow is the correct direction for your application.
I've received more than one actively cooled component rack sucking air into both the top and bottom at the same time with no exhaust at all - among other id10t installation errors...
Another thought (if brand new) is that there may be a "remove before using" piece that might not have been spotted.
Ahh - could be what you're thinking - just overcharging the filter and killing it with turbulence.Yeah it exhaust fine, blows tons of air. I’m gonna look into slowing it down but I’ll also check to see if I missed a remove first piece lol I’d do some dumb shit like that for sureee
When I first had the need for odor control, I bought the ipower 6" kit and it literally did nothing. The filter was only good for slowing the fan speed down. When I shook it, i could hear the carbon moving around inside, indicating that it wasn't even completely filled. There is a reason that the recommended carbon filters on the market are pretty pricey.Yeah it exhaust fine, blows tons of air. I didn't want to spend on a Can fan and a Phresh filter either, especially after years of not having to worry about odor at all, but my freedom is at stake here.I was afraid of that
I’m right there with you broham. I have some activated charcoal filters from a fryer system that’s the same thing I’m up up to it too just for extra measures.I didn't want to spend on a Can fan and a Phresh filter either, especially after years of not having to worry about odor at all, but my freedom is at stake here.
