Hmmm. From what I had read online and using the same idea as this I found online I thought the 660 and 730 together is used for the Emerson effect and the 730 at lights off to increase flowering quicker and quickening flowering times

ehh it’s only a new phenomenon so there’s a lot of different opinions on it. Hard to say what’s right without looking deeper at it myself

Is all the added stuffing around with the extra lighting worth it, How much gain do ya get outta it at the end of the day compared to running standard lightin on the normal 12/12

I know cant wait, left plants starting stack buds. Looks to be atleast 4 oz on left 1 if everythings goes good. Right 1 maybe 2 oz gotta get a light over right one soonish, if i get another sf600 i should pull some monsters.
a single highlights board kit will do almost the same as the sf600 and probably save you money.

I run 11/13 but yeah I get what your saying. The Emerson effect has nothing to do with increasing yeilds it’s about inducing flower quicker and reducing stretch.

Just seems like a waste of dollars plus the added stuffin round but i would put the time an dollars into the use of uv lights to produce extra oils and resin to gain higher THC an CBD levels because that seems to be worth the extra stuffin around instead of gettin a plant to flower faster. But each to their own..

Well let me put it this way. A 7 week flower cycle vs an 8 week flower cycle is a full extra cycle per year.

it really just depends on what you want to spend money on.

Thanks mate. That’s ok you can’t please everyone unfortunately. I’ve seen weed been grown in cut up coke bottles and seen them in pots. Both grew plants. At the end of the day I dunno if all the reds and on/off time changed will do anything special. I guess we will find out over the next few months

saving 2% to a small grower is nothing. Saving 2% for a commercial grower is huge dollars. Scale matters
I was gunna leave this an call it a day but ya have roped me back in with that.
So if a smaller grower is only going to save 2% an gain a small amount of extra bud each year wouldn it be better to put the money/effort into growin a better product then. Unless you were to run the emerson setup plus add the uv lights then you would be gettin best of both worlds.
If you had the option of running water ever setup you wanted which way would you go

I haven’t looked too much into the Emerson effect but honestly if your looking at that or I’ve to make a difference it should probably mean your spot on with your nutrient program and environment running a constant vpd.

like my next investment is in nutrients to up my foliar game to get more out of my veg and flowering plants.

if I had to choose between the 2 but I’d probably go Emerson effect, I’m not entirely convinced UV is worth it.
