Harvest Question??

Just curious what everyone does.. How do you prefer to harvest? What’s your process? do trim your leaves before you let your plant dry or do you leave them on and spend the time trimming the unwanted parts off? Just curious...

Usually I would just cut the plant down, either whole or by branches, and hang it. Trim as it drys.

Now I have an electric trimmer and the Herbs Now dryer. Snip a branch trim it up and dry it in ~4 days. I need some practice with this tho

OK. I was going to trim a lot of the leaves off of the bud before cutting the plan and letting it dry. Wasn’t sure if I should keep the leaves in the trimmings. ???

Does it make a difference if you trim before it dries or after?

It's easier fresh and it dries quicker.

Keep the trim, discard fan leaves unless you need cbd. Keep all trim and trichs. Cold room is best.

I have 2 tents. Would it be wise to hang up the branches to dry inside one tents with a fan to help circulate the air

I usually do a dry ice shake for the best trich's then allow the trim to dry. I make shatter out of all the cut and dry the bud til the outside is dry and cure accordingly.

A/C runs in the room too. Planned on venting the tent which would help with humidity if that needed it to be lower

I hang whole in a tent temp 65 Rh 50-55 till the outsides of the buds are crispy 7-10+ days then I cut the buds off the stems and put them in a paper bag roll the top closed and leave them in the tent till smokable 7-10+ days I stir them around once a day to break up the block then trim and jar.

THIS is the BEST advice on this page!

The slower the dry the better the taste and smell.

Trimming wet is usually easier but will make the plants dry faster which isn't what you really want. I will usually remove all the fan leaves before I hang mine, but they still hang for 7-10 days usually. Then into bags just like merlin said. Trimming dry isn't nearly as bad when the buds are properly dried.

How come you a paper bag instead of a jar? Just curious
