Let's see pics of pure sativa

Raggyb, I am debating if the long flower times are worth it or not. I've only ever had dispensary type "sativas" so I guess I'll find out when I smoke this, in time. I'm planning to run the golden tiger and a 70/30 super lemon haze and compare the three to make a decision. That month extra of flowering time is an oz off my yields, making some assumptions. I just switched to this perpetual setup and have only harvested one plant out of the space so far, lots to learn about it still.
Me too lots to learn for sure. I've done more sativa dominants but only two 'real pure' sativa and I almost don't want to count Wild Thai because it comes in at the short end of 11 or 12 weeks. The Ethiopian was supposed to be 14 weeks but it might be more and I did something wrong with it. It hurts even more if you make a mistake on sativas because they takes so long. I happen to be leaning towards Sativa because my one pure indica seemed to give me the noids. But if I find an indica that doesn't I may work on that that direction too especially if it's good for sleeping. Sativas usually seem to be day smokes. That is they keep you up. The super airy buds don't weigh much but wild Thai is an exception. For me I'm not worried about quantity. I'm a lightweight. Might have enough to get me through retirement if it will keep lol.

How these girls looking these days? Just curious... I'm nine weeks in on my girls, they look to have a couple more to go at least...

Had some issues and had to take them down early. After years of no bugs I noticed mites. There was nothing I could really do and I wasn't going to try and manage the bugs so I chopped them down. Then I fumigated and cleaned my garage where my flowering tent is. It was disappointing but I had to do it. I think my neem spraying in veg works but it doesn't last as long as a sativa like OTH takes to finish. So it is what it is. It was a bummer but I made some butter out of what I saved. And I made a bunch of seeds from one of the plants that I pollinated really early. Which was one of the reasons for growing OTH. More seeds.

I have a OTH/Ciskei going that I'm going to train properly and see what it can do.

Old Timers Haze seeds.

Yeah it sucked. But it is what it is. I don't play with mites. Years ago I managed them but never got rid of them completely. I wasn't going to go through that again so immediate eradication was the only thing to do. I had other plants in another room in my veg tent that needed to start flowering. I spent a couple days cleaning everything multiple times and not just the garage but the entire house. I took all my houseplants outside and sprayed them as well. I set off several bug bombs in the garage, cleaned the inside of the tent repeatedly, took everything out. I even put my carbon filter in a hot oven in case any of those demons were hiding inside. Maybe overkill but I'm not playing with mites. You have to hit them hard and fast.

But I started out with five seeds and now I have a couple hundred. So I'm happy with that.

I only just noticed this thread. I’ve just harvested a Neville’s haze 90% sativa.
I haven’t read all the posts before mine yet I just saw a few ugly pics and knew I was in the right place lol.
God damn they’re ugly is all I can say. Anyway I was about @14wks when I chopped her i’d planned to go to 16wks but she started showing signs of revegging on most of the main colas so I didn’t waste time and chopped at 14. (No I have no idea what caused this because I have other strains in same flower room not reverting so...D7EB2CD2-7754-4DF4-8077-352B487C223C.jpeg B5791487-72F0-431C-8BDA-C1C5760245CD.jpeg 87973300-0FEB-4A4D-A810-94497C1B6693.jpeg 46810578-F57B-422E-989D-023CC33E1E65.jpeg

And this is when I noticed reveg happening 2A91D91B-2E0F-455C-B23C-672F5D93756F.jpeg E8FF8F61-6425-4C5C-833C-243CAF7824DC.jpeg

Will say it’s an awesome smoke/high, smells like a mango after it’s just been sliced and tastes a bit like menthol or minty mango.
Won’t be doing another long flowering haze variety anytime soon that’s for sure.

Nice! How's the smoke?
Honestly, it's ok..
I'd put the strain as good, not great.

The high is heady but let me down on my expectations for a 100% sativa. Only a week into cure but flavor is fine.. none of the citrus or zingy smells from flower came through, leaving a good but earthy smoke. (Not dirt tasting like northern lights mind you.)

Personally, I won't be growing it again.

Edit: Also it was pretty sugar leafy, a pita to trim.. I guess that's the sativa traits. I'm going to try some other strains to see if I can find what I'm looking for.

I have grown a lot of pure sativa over the years and a lot of mostly sativas.
First, put some in a jar, in a dark area for about 3 months, come back and smoke it. You will be more impressed. In my experiences a very long cure time is necessary to mature and bring out the really sativa qualities.

Second, I agree with your assessment. When you spend that much time in flower, then that much time curing, it is very hard to find the balance worth it. Yes, it can be really good,. At times I get psychodelic enough to catch some trails and some time warping. Even still, there is so much good bud that finishes in 10wks or less.

I appreciate your feedback! It seems I'm heading in the right direction. I'm growing an Ace seeds golden tiger and planning to grow some faster flowering partial sativa's. I have a few Vortex going right now.

I know world of seeds isn't the best genetics out there. I'm excited to see how Ace does but it does seem I'd prefer the extra yields from being able to harvest more plants.

I suppose I've got plenty of shrooms if I want a psychedelic high.
