I built something very similar years ago but mine was better; chips were in pairs at the ends of the bar for better light distribution and mine are water cooled.
I don't think that's unknown to them. The price for it is pretty insane.

Honestly I couldn't tell ya. I dont really mess with cobs too much. Strips just give better coverage less voltage sometimes. Depending on how you wire it of course. And the strips just grow so well. Great penetration, ease of building too.
Understood. My interest is in replacing COBs on some of my old fixtures.
I was jus browsing some other stuff. Seen some crees 25-55 bucks. Higher prices on the better bins.
