Kind XL-750 LED

No I have not tested anything. I plug it in and grow....lol....I don't intend to fight about what is better than what. What I offer is not numbers and hearsay. What I offer in my comment is an answer to his/her question specifically about the very light I use. I certainly am not going to warn someone off of a lighting system that works well for me.....lol..... My answer is based off of the K5 750W that I have hanging in my tent and has 3 strains under it. All 3 strains are doing great in week 4 of flower. I cannot speak to what is better or what is worse> I also don't warn folks off of any lighting. What doesnt work for one may work for someone else.
The point being made is that you can buy a much better light(s) than that Kind, dollar for dollar. That's a fact.

It really wasn't that difficult to figure out what the point was, but thank you for pointing it out. I never thought otherwise. There is always something better depending on what you are looking for. However; to continue to bash any products that work just fine for their intended purpose is ridiculous.

No dude , this isn't a "every bodies entitled to their own opinion" situation. Gavitas work fine, commercial led fixtures from companies like biofluecne work fine. DIY COBs as well of course.

Here's an idea. Get any commercial grower in a legal state to replace their lights watt for watt with Kind Leds. They'll be out of business in two years, max. Thats not fine. Thats like a farmer using fertizer only 80% as good as everyone else.

Thats bankruptcy.

This is farming to some people, lights are agricultural machinery. We all get that right?

Hahaha, --> "No dude , this isn't a "every bodies entitled to their own opinion" situation"<--.....Wow....I thought Rollitup was a public forum where anyone can voice their opinions on what they use and how that equipment works for them? My mistake....LOL

Has anybody stopped you from voicing your opinion? We're just disagreeing on what makes a light fixture worth recommending. Nobodies being silenced.

I've seen that exact Kind LED in action. Like others have stated, photons are photons. I've heard some have issues with programming it but it's nice that the light includes IR and UV. I think the issue with the xl750 is that it's not very efficient and it's not exactly user friendly. If you don't care that it costs more to run it and you have a knack for programming things then there's nothing wrong with using it imo.

As others pointed out, cob systems are the way to go at this point if you care about heat, electricity use and performance. It's just a fact that watt for watt they will grow more bud than HPS or older LED technology like the KIND xl750. Pricing has also come down too.

You could get a 600w Vero 29v7 system from Timber which would pretty much rock a 4'x4' space and it's about $950. That's about the top of the food chain right there in lighting but obviously it has a bit higher start up costs than other forms of lighting so many go the cheaper hps route. Each to their own.

This is the nub of the issue here. You're throwing away yield because you bought the wrong machinery.

Each to their own.
I'd usually agree but we're in a forum for LED lights. I can go into a muscle car forum and recommend the Toyota Prius to everyone because its the only car I've ever owned and it does me fine.

Should I expect to be humored?

I have researched a ton of lights. If I needed additional performance out of lighting I would without a doubt pick up
Timber 600 Watt Cree CXB3590 4'x4' Framework and augment it with some IR and UV lighting. However; for the level and type of growing I do the KindLED 750w works perfect. That is my point. Not everybody's needs are the same. So when folks continually try to destroy the reputation of a lighting system that works just fine, I feel compelled to put my opinion out there as well. KindLED 750w for my needs and many others; work just fine.

You're absolutely correct. There are people I've seen grow some decent buds with Mars and even CFL's. If you want the best value for your money you wouldn't be wise buying cfl's, mars or the kind xl750 but they will definitely grow weed.

We will just have to agree to disagree. All of the lighting you point out as not being wise to purchase would work great for someone based off of their specific grow needs.

Right except they would be wasting their money.

I don't disagree with anything you've said. Any light will grow weed. How much you care about saving money is up to each person. Some don't care and others with bigger setups care immensely. People who want to grow but keep it stealth also care because it drives up their electric bill and becomes a red flag. There's nothing to really agree or disagree about, it's just what each light offers you. You can spend more money for a KIND xl750 and pay more to grow with it, or you can buy a cheaper and more efficient light that will grow the same amount of weed for less money. Some will care, some won't.

Actually that is one reason why I haven't pulled the trigger on the Timber 600w. It pulls 150W more at the wall than mine does. And I couldn't agree with you more when you talk about bigger setups, They are usually growing for profit so absolutely, they need top of the line gear...no argument there!

WOW, thanks for all the information and assistance. So, we spent some time researching the various recommendations last night. We are narrowing it down to two vendors right now and plan on calling them tomorrow morning to discuss a few questions.
First we like this setup: http://www.amaretechnology.com/product-page/662befd5-fab5-fac8-f485-c0b1665ab157

the second, and we have been looking at it closely is the Timber setup: http://timbergrowlights.com/600-watt-citizen-clu048-4x4-framework/

or, we may do two of these Timber setups:http://timbergrowlights.com/300-watt-cree-cxb3590-square-framework/

What do you all think about these selections for an approx 4x4 space? might be able to stretch it to a 4x6'.

again, we appreciate everyone's input as LEDs are all new to us.

Timber is 100% the way to go. With amare it's probably the CXB3070 LEDs of unknown bin. So 3070 are 20% less efficient. So if you want a powerful grow light go with timber, no question on that.

LOVE IT !!! I ran a 400w cool tube & now I’m pumping 750 for only 30 Watts more. Easy set up & comes w/ a sweet little remote to set spectrum intensity of red, blue & white plus timer. I’ve found that it penetrates the canopy well to get nice bottom nugs, the hps gets more weight but Kind’s potency kicks ass
