Ya the light has to be it,add also having all the plants in the one bucket directly under it.

Please scope your plants. This damage looks suspiciously like micro mites (russet or broad). 60x power or higher. You're looking for tiny little bugs that resemble grains of rice on the underside of the leaves on or near the midrib.

Ok guys, I don’t think it’s light burn, it looks like it but it can’t be because for the first week to ten days I was running the light pretty close and no burn happened, for the past week i’ve had it 1.2m (47 inches) from the tops and the problem is continuing...

The roots do look like spaghetti but in saying that there is small amounts of fish-boning, they are slightly brown, but I’m confident that’s just stain from the nutrients. Between flushes I have been thoughrely rinsing the roots. There is no slime, there is no “off” odours.

I’ve taken more images, sorry for the LED in the background, I know that’s frowned upon here but you’ll get the idea.

Environment is good, lighting is good, air flow is good, i’m leaning towards something to do with the nutes but fuck me the damage is bad and getting worse, the guys in the middle of the tub are growing very slowly, the guys on the outer edges have stopped entirely. This doesn’t look like a minor deficiency, it can’t be a toxicity because it worsened with lower nute strengths... wtf is going on?

I’ve included images of the amounts of air being pumped, the pump I’m using is pumping 4.5L/min, it runs 24/7.

I’m almost at the stage of trying an entirely new line of nutrients, but I really don’t want to because my funds are fairly exhausted and I spent a ton on the shit i’ve got....

Oh and perhaps there is a clue in the slow dropping of my pH, it drops about one point every day cycle?

For instance, my light runs during the night, so I'll go to bed and wake up and the pH will go from 6.0 to 5.9......

The EC has not changed ever.

Hey.You said it worsened when you lowered EC.
How about you raise it up...hydro likes calmag also.
It will take 3,4 days but you should notice a difference.

I was thinking of raising the EC, but isn't 0.9 plenty enough for the size of the plants?

Does a calmag deficiency look this bad?

oh and to answer your question about the leaves, I have to cut them off, they don't fall off easily.

Does it list the ingredients in your base nutes? NPK values.

Roots look ok, not great, but ok.

I highly doubt it's a K def, but nothing is out. Just weird it's only at the top.

Light burn will fuck them up for a while, like a sunburn. Hurts the first day a bit, then gets worse even out of the sun.

Anyhow, your EC not changing is one thing, your ph dropping is another.

First the NPK values if you have them, and ingredients if they are there (phosphoric acid, etc).

Ok so to be clear I’m on .7 ppm I think. So 1 EC is 700 ppm.
So after my clones have rooted they go into a system like yours. Air stones 3” netpots hydrton etc. I give them 1 -1.5 ml per litre of calmag. That’s about 200 ppm. Then 700 ppm food. My tap water is hard at 170 ppm. So that’s about 1100 ppm. 1.1 EC.
After a week in there they go to top feed in bigger pots 1-2 gallon. So now same thing 200 ppm calmag but now 1000 ppm food and tap water 170 ppm. So 1.37 EC. I have my plants under 50 watt led strip lights. 4 footers.
So here’s a pic of a clone that took awhile to root. Looks like yours. It’s under just one 50 watt light.
So since your light is a lot stronger I would up the food even a little more.

So my guess is since it isn’t your light being to close. It’s not enough food for your light. I can over 2 EC no problems with clones that just started to show roots out of the net pot. They grow too fast so I starve them a little.

That explains the EC. Still not following on the leaves though. Older growth is green. Just odd.

What I did about a year ago was have 3 small totes. 2 air stones in ea. 2 plants per tote. One was at 700 ppm other at 1000 ppm and the last at 1600
After roots appear on clones they went into the small totes the 1600 ppm one greened them up the quickest.
Hope this helps. Now I just have one big tote and play around. Cheers

NPK of the A is 3-0-2

NPK of the B is 1-3-5

Yeah maybe they are hungry, I'm absolutely lost, I haven't tried upping the EC so let's try that, I'll give them the recommended amount, 1.5 ml/L of A & B, so that'll be 150 ml of each for my 100 L res.
