Actually i would toss soil in the garbage, its about the most boring way to grow..
Jump to coco, build a dtw setup.. Get an ro filter...

Boring? See, I think "reliable". I don't have to worry about it like other methods, so I can devote the time to different training and pruning methods, or just be bored and watch my flowers grow.

Not saying any of the advice is bad, I just try to keep my advice factual, and let the other person form the opinion.

I agree with the other folks, it looks like over watering. You can fully saturate your soil but you then need to let it dry out. If your overeager or have soil that retains too much water you will never get to that dry stage. Let the plant wilt from dehydration. Feel how heavy the pot is when its empty and remember that. With that being said you may have already allowed some root rot to start. I would recommend some aquashied/hydroguard or some sort of beneficial bacteria to help the roots. It's banned in canada according to botanicare but I have been able to find the odd amazon person who will ship it to you.

Also just because the fertilizer company says to use ridiculous amounts of nutes doesn't mean it's sound advice. They are, after all, in the business of selling nutrients, so for them the more nutes you consume the more profitable their business will be.

I would be that guy on quantum boards for lights. I won't waste my money on anything else. I have reasons, but they are fairly expensive lights, and I did start out with blurples - then got to the point where I didn't have to spend money on weed, so I spent it on upgrades.

I could give you a shopping list for the most perfect 3x3 bedroom closet set-up ever (for me ) but it might not work at all for you.

any little fan will do, but make sure it has a mechanical on-off selector so it comes back on with the timer. Got one that had a push-button on-off, and luckily I noticed that it had to be turned "on" every time the lights came back on. I stuck a different one in quick.

That was my only point. Some people want easier, quicker - whatever - methods, and that's cool, but whichever one you find easiest to understand and manage will be the 'best'. I'm part Irish and part Injun, I love the soil. Starting some tomatoes and peppers next month under my old blurples

That said, I have been trying different soils, but since I'm stocked up on the Fox Farms nutes, I'm trying their different soils. My current plant is growing in a mix of all three that I have. Working so far, and if it ain't broke... LOL

Yes, but is it on a cement floor? Looks basement-ish to me. Leaky fitting, busted pump, whatever, I wouldn't want to chance that in my house on a wood sub-floor and crawl space, plus the 900lb factor.

Glad it works for you! I read up on them and the type of 'maintenance' compared to soil just didn't click for me. But I'm just growing for me, and having a plant flowering every two months is more my style, get enough to build a stash and get me through the next harvest

What boards you run?
I like chilled's setup with the ability to change the spectrum with a remote .
But there prices are insane .
Most LED's out thete leave a lot to be desired for .
If your gonna go led, it def pays to build your own.

Not too worried about the probe, you mentioned. I never let my temps get that high, but it does show the temp on the screen, so it is a good double-check on the other thermometer. I have the HLG 260, and still have 2 speeds left on the exhaust fan (has 5, usually run at 2, 3 during flower) so when these die I'll get the boards for a 320w. I can replace the boards on the heatsink in about 5 minutes. There are better lights I'm sure, but when I can get 7oz from 2 little plants in 3 gallon pots, it serves my purpose.

They look over watered still. Colouring seems fine for nutrients. Let the plant chill.

I suggest transplanting into 5gallon fabric pots. Gonna cure your over watering issue for sure.

1/2 inch being dry is nothing. There is probably so much moisture built up at the bottom.

If you let it dry out you won’t kill your plants. When they get dry just add water and they bounce back.
