Strawberry Cough and GDP for sure, for me at least.

They provide clarity to people who's brains seem to be "clouded" as I describe it. The euphoria also helps too.

In my experience, depression is an onslaught of thoughts racing through your head that never seem to stop. These strains slow things down a bit and provide an overall sense of well being and allows one to provide a better perspective on their depression.

At least, this has been my experience. Sadly I haven't seen either of these strains in years.

What I would like to know is where to buy strains that get mentioned. I don't find much of a relationship between what I order and what they send.

If you plant and flower 100 of the same seed. Youll probably find one that matches the description.

Until you do that, stop complaining about the seed not matching the description.

super silver haze from ILGM seems to work well for the two people I know that struggle with depression. one has meth related depression caused by brain damage from meth use. it also works well for pain from osteoarthritis which is my qualifying condition for an MMJ patient card

Not for me. I have major depression/clinical depression and, personally, none of these strains work for uplifting me. Hell they made me trip out more than anything (paranoia). Also tried smoking pure indica and still had a head high (paranoia) like a sativa. Maybe im just a special sort of weirdo with a weird chemical makeup inside my brain shit. Ive smoked alot during my teens and the closest I ever got to anything helping with my depression was ATF. Im not sure who has the real deal nowadays because the alaskan who created the strain I hear doesnt like to share. Hope that helps.

Super silver haze a definite yes. Dispensary has a Strawberry variant. Sativa or Indica at all a factor? Grand Daddy Bruce? Have not seen that but thanks for mentioning it. Yea the strains I listed could be different on neural chemical make up. THC and CBN are the main neural receptors with CBD doing some cross neural shiznit. I would love to go to a Psychiatrist and have them tell me what herb to smoke. But its like no one in the medical world acknowledges it.
I like the genetic selection as someone pointed out. Then clone away.
Dispensary is 90 a quarter here yikes (blame the fed), hard to sample.

Its becoming apparent people have different neurotransmitter levels and reuptake systems (varying brain chemistry). I dont subscribe to that annoying responce by Budtenders "Staviva give yous energy and Indica puts you to bed".
And they had to get a government license to tell you that. Also a lot of you dont live under a lock like we do here in VT, these strains I doubt to see here. I guess my query is faulted.

This is a tough one, as I've suffered from it my entire life.
All of our endocannabanoid receptors are unique, forcing one to try many strains.
There are several that work for me, only these most likely will not work for many of you.
C99, Bros Grimm cut only.
Bodhi strains crossed w/Wookie father.
Bubba kush.

Also I have found hybrids to work best, no higher than 60% sativa or indica either way.
Best of luck in all of your searches.

I have grown Bay 11 a few times now, and also just finished a Dragonsblood F4 x OMG grow, the dragonsblood is straight hawiaan sativa. Both of those strains are awesome for depression. They both just glue a goofey smile to your face.

Sweet thanks. Im still making a list. What I can get online I will when I grow again. Blue dream variant for sure, half cbd.
The names are wild, I could just see some shrink telling a patient "I am now going to give you Dragons Blood!"
Might try for clones at the local dispensary, as phenotype is important some one pointed out.

Does anyone know the effect on eating thc and depression? I have Dragons Tears (not blood) RSO and thinking of diluting it into something.

Don't know too much yet but my opinion is not all CBD strains are good for depression. Following had varying degrees of negative depression effects for for me
Cannatonic (med CBD/THC)
Candida (though it's so mild I see benefits of mixing with it)
Afghan (pure indica)
And the following were positive
Blueberry (has med CBD and high THC)
Ethiopian (pure sativa, I think no CBD)

But Ethiopian was not strong and I'm not sure I grew it well and it was a difficult indoor grow. Trying Maui real soon.

And to answer your question I only eat it. Seems fine to me, only you have to wait for it to kick in and it takes some practice to figure out your dosages right.
