so i know what a hummi plant is and what a male plant is i know one plant i have is attempting to go hummi but im seeing some wired male flowers eg fibers coming out of male flower only like 5 from the entire plant so far i have removed them not overly fussed more interested in if anyone else has seen this happen
fibers coming out of male flower i cant take a photo of them as far too small for the camera i have to show clear image
also i read on someones post you can buy product to prevent hummi plants if so can someone provide me the name of the product
yes i know its better to find the reason for plants turning hummi my reason is my flower tent is a piece of crap that leaks light but i don't want to fix that until the end of my next run as i shut down over summer

so to re-ask the important stuff

fibers coming out of male flower ??

name of product that will prevent hummies if such product exists ??

Do you mean hermaphrodite?

Save your money this is the Best way to avoid "hummi's" as you call it, buy/obtain decent quality seed/seedlings, and don't stress the shit out of them, doing this WILL greatly reduce the chance of hermies

All good bro, iv been hitting a mango type strain so I'm pretty "happy" too lol
I know you said you cant take a pic but it hard to say what out one, those fibres could just be from the sack when it was tearing to release pollen,

normally when i see a male plant or hermaphrodite the pollen sacks produce several yellow bananas that open up mine are green with no pollen still bananas shaped but contained with in a healthy calyx with pistils
if i find more ill maybe attempt to take a photo just because its very odd to me and something ive never seen

If your plants are indeed exhibiting hermaphrodite traits, then perhaps what you're observing is a combination of a male flower and a female flower (the female pistils being what you see as 'fibers') growing in the same location? I've seen this sort of phenomena before. As to if there's something to stop the hermaphrodite traits; I have no idea. I would either pluck off the male flowers on a daily basis, or cut your losses and your plant. Sounds like you have a new set up ready to go anyhow; no need to sit on it. Use it and start over. Good luck.

i normally chop the second i see any sine of male most likely will if more pop up and i do find it odd its in the same location
i guess just normal behavior of some strains kind of rude of the plant though considering they are clones from the last female run yet one decide to grow up gay and the other straight
it will end up turning in to edibles so never a full waste if i scrap it

There you go...turn this negative into a positive (edibles). But yeah, if plants are stressed, despite being clones off a mother plant, it's quite possible, and even likely, some can herm. while other's don't. It's the nature of a dioecious species of plant.

You know your flower tent leaks light but your not going to fix it?! And instead you'd just deal with "hummi" plants? And go as far as to buy reverse or some other product?

I let my a few buds go past harvest time and they often show the yellow fingers. I use the pollen on other buds and get all female producing seeds. Saw it in a magazine long time ago, one of the breeders called it rodelization. I seen some hermie balls on some chemdog strains Usually only a few towards the end and I didnt care.

boy plant balls dont have fibers but female calyx do. the two are confuse often. google the pictures and see.

it is possible its not bandannas with in the calyx and just odd leaf growth
i know the difference between a female and male plant thanks though
no more have shone up over overnight
see i am 99% sure its just a cause of a lot of little pin hole light leaks but i do wonder if feeding grow for the 1st week and a half from 12/12 is giving me issues as in the plant has too much nitrogen and its making them want to grow not transition to flower correctly although ive always been told that you should feed grow for the 1st week or two from flip before changing to bloom

Good Morning Kipn. There's no doubt, if you have light leaks, they are not helping you in terms of flower and / or avoiding the natural tendencies of this species of plant to show hermaphrodite traits. Your feed, all things being equal, is not your cause. As you noted, maybe you are experiencing "odd leaf growth", but only you can really determine this. Let us know how you get it sorted out.
