Both AUTO White Widows have been outdoors in pots in 95 degree weather.
In week 14, 100 days and not sure if they are ready to harvest? The trichomes are clear and cloudy. Leaves are all green. Buds aren’t super dense.
Any thoughts to when these girls should be chopped?
The pics are the main cola of each plant

Let it go I would say tell at least some trichs are amber but that’s just me.
Even though it’s an autoflower I should let it go? The seeds were from ILGM and they said it was 80 days. It’s already been 102.
I’m up for letting it go as long as needed, I was under impression that some ‘autos’ the trichs don’t turn Amber. I have noticed that all the plants were different in size and shape even tho it was same strain.
Can you let it go too long?
I really appreciate the advice, helps a lot. It was fun growing now it’s stressful on when to actually yank the girls lol.

I’ve been running ILGM GDP and Northern Lights and I’ve got two distinct, possibly 3 phenos on the GDP and two on the NL.
I’m new to this so I don’t know if this is the case with all strains or breeders but it’s definitely the case with ILGM genetics.
Auto flowers I think can be all over the place

Reading around here and elsewhere over the last week, I keep seeing the idea that "some strains don't turn amber" or even "many NEWER strains" etc. But I have yet to see a single strain identified that fits the bill. It seems logical that the more sativa-dominant a strain is, the less ambery it would be, but that's just a guess. I tried checking out the Seedfinder database, but they only have CBN listed on a few strains at this point. Maybe we just need more science!

There are other signs to look for also, as different factors can affect the plant's growth. And as you've noticed, there's plenty of variation within a single strain anyhow.

This strain is suppose to be 60-40 Indica dominant. I’m definitely going to let it go until some amber shows up. Website says flowering time is 8-9 weeks and it’s been only 7 weeks for these 2 plants. They kind of false advertise how long it will take.

No they don't false advertise, harvest times are based on perfect environment/grow

Sounds like your heat threw some foxtails too .
Foxtails all over. They all started in the last week. Is that a bad thing?
There was really not much I could do to avoid it. My growing space is limited and the plants get Direct intense sun about 4 hours every day. Rest of time they are just in the heat. Thank god the humidity is fairly low.
Anything I should do regarding the foxtails?

No real issue ...
They are what they are. Sativas and or heat can produce them ... if heat it’s the plants response where instead of building a normal bud it starts stacking instead. You still can smoke it .

Smoked plenty of “ fingers “ ... got Chinese eyes no problem.

Do the new trichomes on the foxtail extensions ever turn amber?
Or do you look at the lower trichomes to get a color reading?

Triches will mature ... I usually judge this kind of bud by OVERALL opaqueness.... looking at a few different parts of it then judge an average to decide choppitty chop.

Sativas take as long as it needs but the wait is worth it. Good sativas are often pulled too early .

If for your consumption, it’s fine , it’s smokes just fine.

Just let it keep going. Post pics every other day. Lets see how much these bad bitches can swell up!!! :hump:
One got so heavy at the top it bent over and almost broke off today. Luckily the stem didn’t break.

Had to stake it up!

They are really foxtailing... the buds are coming apart a little bit and growing their own tops. Will definitely be airy but they are covered in crystals! Still no amber.

Look forward to seeing how many fingers of foxtail I get!
