My application was received by the state on either 5/18 or 5/19 and I’m hoping it got approved and sent thru but no one will answer me no matter when I call, so I guess I’ll just be impatiently waiting. Hate to say this but Illinois needs to step it up, I know it’s a pilot program and all but it’s 2018 cannabis is our medicine! Get on track IL

Try calling around 2pm morning and lunch is always busy when I call I usually have more luck around 2 or 3 pm

Hi all - DPH responded indicating that I have been approved and my card has been sent to the printers, and I should get it in the mail within 14 days. Timing is as follows:

mailed application on 5/29/18; chck cashd 8/7/18; approvd 8/8 (or 8/9?)

Ironically, I have a drug test coming up with regards to a potential new job opportunity. It's with a federally charted bank, so they have to follow federal mandates. Anyone know how the state and federal employment laws would work in this situation? I don't mind waiting until after the drug test has been administered to use my new card...

Right no there is no law for IL stating medical patients can be under the influence during work hours, I do believe there may be one for protecting those that use on off time. I would do more research to make sure though I could be wrong.

thanks. to clarify - I wouldn't use during work hours - just at night to help with pain and sleep issues.

I'm on day 81. Application sent 5-21-2018. My CC was charged the same day. I sent an email 7-20-2018 and received a response confirming my application receipt. No date mentioned. Still waiting.

I’m hoping to be in the same boat. Submitted my app (via mail) 6/1 and my check was just cashed today. I hope to call Monday to see if I am approved but at least I’m hoping this is a good sign. As soon as I have card or news I will post my timeline.
