Help

I just bought a hydro farm 8 bucket ring drip system and every single plant I transplant in there kills them. I used Botanicare grow. At 1/3 of the recommended dose. I have no clue what’s going on

I bought it used from someone. It works exactly like it should. But I can’t figure out why everything is dying. Maybe I didn’t wash everything out good enough? To much salt buildup from past uses?? Please someone help. I’ve got 5 clones that will be ready in a few days and I’m terrified to transplant them.

Dude quit responding this shit. If it works exactly as it should, how are we supposed to have any idea what's wrong?

Fuck you bro. It kept saying not able to post so I continued to try. I didn’t know it was gonna post a billion times. I see yours went through twice so I assume the same happened to you. Don’t be a dick. You think I would intentionally post the same thing that many times.

The system itself works the way it should. So I’m trying to figure out what’s going on. But every time I ask questions on here somebody has to be a dick

neither do we without details.
Okay so I got a 4x4 tent with 1000 watt hps. Inline fan with air conditioning. I have a hydro farm 8 bucket top feed system. I used 1/3 of the recommended dose of botanicare grow pro a little super Thrive. But when I got the system it was used with a lot of salt buildup. I rinsed them out but I guess I should I have scrubbed them clean. I’m not sure if all that salt is killing them or what. My ph is around 5.8 or so. Fluctuates a little bit not much.

I should have take pictures with the light off. I apologize. I’m just freaking out because I have 5 clones ready to go but every plant I put on the damn system dies

heat inside tent?
ppm/EC?
water source?
root rot prevention?
pH is 5.8. are you sure meter is accurate?
botanicare pro grow has organics in it. switch to different nutes. check out GH maxibloom and maxigro instead.

I’m steady at around 76 degrees with 45 to 55 % humidity. I don’t have a Ppm meter. So that is a necessity for hydro?? This is all completely new to me. I think I may have screw up with the water as well. I didn’t realize how much water the damn thing took so I used about 14 gallons of drinking water. And filled the rest with well water. If you have the time to give me a rundown of what I need to do or change or anything man. The guy I bought the shit from said the botanicare is ph perfect nutrients. But again this is all new to me

what do you mean root rot prevention?? I’ve always grown in soil and never had problems like this Sometimes a little nute burn but that’s all

absolutely! get an EC meter instead. you can find a decent one for 30 bucks on ebay.

root rot will kill a plant faster than just about anything in hydro. southern ag garden friendly fungicide is what i use. also on ebay.

from your pic it looks like your nutes are too strong, the curling over. or your pH is not what you think it is.

you'd be better off with a smaller light anyway for veg. save the 1000w for flowering when they need more light and you'll save a ton on electric bill. HPS isn't the best for vegging anyway, too much red, not enough blue.

All I have is 2 led panels with 3 plants in flower. So can I just raise the light as high as it will go??

1000w is too much for clones.
You need the root system to get established in the growing system b4 you start putting 1000w on them.
Buy some SILVER BULLET and scrub the shit out of the buckets.
Could be getting transfer shock depending on what environment they've come from.

You haven't given us much to work with tbh lad
