Awesome she looks gorgeous. Iv got a couple of white widows flowering at the moment, I found them to be quite hard to grow compared with the others iv got, some didn’t germinate & the others havnt grown as big as the others. How long from switching 12/12 till your harvest? I’m 6 weeks in flowering my first grow still seems a long way off, totally underestimated the times thought I only had a month left 2 months ago & set up extra space under the stairs for new batch clones etc now totally running out of space lol.

Yeah I had four girls going at one point and it took the space over during veg and I'm not fortunate enough to have extra space so I have to chop down 3 and keep the best of one I've been vegging for a long time 3 months and as far as flowering those pics were from today and it's about 9 weeks from when I switch to 12 and 12

What's your que to chop?

Are those pics from today?
Well I have an idea of how long it takes from experience you got to look at the clarity of the trichomes you're looking for almost all foggy not clear maybe a few Amber's also this strain I was looking for about 80to 90% orange hairs the kind of comes with experience

I'm not trying to be a dick or a know it all. I've also been doing it for 20+ years now. The only reason I asked is because I seen the new white pistils on the heads of the buds. I personally like to wait until there's no groups of pistils like that. Of course there will always be a few stragglers on some strains. Just looked like she was still up to something imo that's all.

I think the very top of the colas have a bit of light bleaching but the rest of the plant looks really good I do agree with the tops of the main colas but usually they're the first to finish and the rest of the plant looks way ready so I'm just going to chop it all down thanks for the advice though I did not take it as your know-it-all we are all still learning everyday and if you think you know it all then good luck to you buddy LOL

If I knew it all I wouldn't need luck.

I think it should go about a week longer. It will be more potent and long lasting high but it has been overfed so I would give water only at this point.

Just my opinion. I have grown a bunch of black Widow. And a few white widows. And a lot of crosses.

I would defer to @Indacouch ’s experience though.
I think it looks all foggy what do you guys think I we mabe one turning amber

You are close for sure. But usually if there are a bunch of white pistols and you can get her uptaking she will grow more trichs.

But it’s not a perfect science. You are 90% the way done I still think.

Also I've had the lights off for three and a half days now just to try out the whole idea of more frosting on the buds so if I'm going to go another week should I turn the lights on for another week?

Important detail that one.

No reason to wait if there is no light. No light no growth.

The only reason to leave a plant in the dark is to make sure all the carbs migrate back down to the roots. This happens at night and to be sure all carbs are out of the plant it can take 24 hrs.

After that your plant is just in the dark. Could get moldy if humid in there.

You are following a stoner myth. I liked ed Rosenthals grow book for science about what works and how.

Or for even more scientific info Marijuana Botany by Clark.

Both are available on that cat news book link floating around here. I dont have it handy.

Anyone got the catnews free book link.

Yes, lights back on. I've never done lights off for extended periods before harvest, so I don't know for sure, but I don't think it's needed. Chop when lights off.

Thanks for the help I hope that at least it's just still be okay I know I'm not going to get the craziest smoke but at least if it's half decent I'll be happy

If it’s decent genetics it looks like it will be ok.

Takes practice. Just keep growing and asking questions.

From your pics I suggest reading more about nutrients and feeding and watering.

I was a massive underfeeder. I was afraid to burn plants. Kept making me go back and forth over and underfeeding. Took a lot of practice to get it right for me.
