gg#4 ?

Ok I'm growing what I was told was gg#4. This strain seemed to help the most when I got some from the dispensary so it's what I looked for for my grow, now I'm only getting the standard musk smell with a little chem smell when I'm checking on the girls and it's nothing like what I smoked.
So the question is what does everyone think? Do I gotta wait for flowering to ask or is the twisting leaves and lanky stems a good indicator?20180710_070858.jpg 20180710_065850.jpg

How the leafs twist from what I have been reading. But I wouldn't mind anyone else chiming in on it that knows first hand that's why I asked :)

It seems to have some GG traits. My GG looks similar to that. In my experience I've seen purple palms and a few purple stems. The vine like structure also seems to somewhat be there. Only thing that's concerning is the smell issue. If I walk in my GG house right now in vegg it has that very strong coffee skunk aroma.... stoner Starbucks.

Thanx guys. Yeah that's my biggest concern is the smell @Indacouch I'm only smelling the skunk musk and a lil chemy it's missing that coffee/earthy smell or it's getting overpowered.

I can usually say yes or no pretty quick just seeing a real deal GG4 plant. One of the very few that are like that. Yours above does have things that look characteristic of GG. The leaf twist ,red palms and the vine like structure are dead giveaways when I'm looking. Flower you'll know without a doubt. I'm unable to smell my plants individually because there's several in the same room.

Don't see any haters lol. I'm just wonder now cuz there's a couple people that want clones and I don't want to tell them wrong. I've told the 2 it may be gg#4 But I can't tell 100% till it's dried/cured

Mine came from my old neighbors friend that supposedly got a clone from Michigan's cannabis cup a couple years ago. I know there was a lot of hype over gg#4 also around the same time and tons of fake glue got spread around that's why I'm asking the masses online lol.

What exactly do you mean by that?
I found myself in the exact same position as doctordetroit, honestly.
Mine is purportedly gg4 from Dark heart, but a dude handed me a plant.
What I mean is compared to pretty much every other strain GG4 is more vine like in its structure. The branches are more comparison to a vine than they are a branch. GG4 takes tons of support to keep branches from falling over from even their own wait let alone any bud weight. I literally have to support every branch on a GG4 to support it during veg when they get big and obviously during flower. They suck at holding weight. They remind me more of a vine than a sturdy branch. Make sense ?
