Did I over dry?

So my buds dried out slightly Warner than I wanted by a few degrees. That's okay I thought, I usually jar up too soon and too wet anyways.

My stems bend and don't snap but the buds themselves are crispy, after 24 hours in jars they are exactly the same. Do I need to just leave them to sit in jars and not burp at all?

Usually at this point I'm burping each day so I'm slightly perplexed.

Cut some with the scissors and it will feel wet. Try smoking a little too, and see how it burns.

It sounds like it's in the cure zone. If it were wet when you checked it then it probably would of been to wet.

The bud is just dry and not crumbly right? Try only burping it once a day for 15 minutes if you want rather than 2 times for 15.

I think mine might be a bit more dry than I wanted, but it's in the cure zone. I was afraid my Walmart hygrometer wasnt right.

Mine was sitting at 64, but I thought it might be 4 lower so I brought it down to 62 steady. At 64 like you described the stems weren't snapping or breaking or was it 68?

.....
I know at first only the very ends of the smallest, and another small bud they were dry and broke. Then I jarred and as I said I dried a few hours more and brought it down to like a steady 64 and jarred. Now it's at 62 at the most two days of jarring and the stems are snapping. I'm going to only burp once a day now as it's going to fast and all is safe at 62. At least a tutorial told me that.

Yes still burp, but slow it down faster if you don't normally.

Edit: Before I jarred at the end of drying one day to the next I could tell (along with the hygrometer) with the scissors, and how it burned it was dry enough for jar. I burped it earlier for 5 minutes and the hygrometer went down to 55. Right now it is at 61 hopefully when I wake up it will be at 62. Not sure if I should, but I'm only going to do it once a day now for 5 minutes. I guess I should mention my jar is oversized and my buds barely take up any space. I had to get it to fit the hygrometer. Thinking I should stick them in my stash jar, but the buds will take up more room and don't know if that will affect humidity levels or the rate at which it rises...

Also the humidity and temperature of your dry room, how many days you dried, if you kept it on the stalk, dry, or wet trimmed, and how dense your buds are all affect dry.

As well as it seems the humidity and temperature of where you place your cure jar affect your cure. The temperature in the room raising the temp in your jar, and the humidity in the room affecting how long you should burp, or if you can if the RH in the room is higher than in your cure jar.

if you stems still have moisture in them it should make the buds not so crispy when sweat drying but if you dried too much before sweating this is what i do. smoke it fast
things i feel you could do although i wouldn't waste my time is put orange peel in the bag or jar for a day or two with the buds or mist the buds with a small amount of water put back in jar or bag and continue to sweat. go get some wet weed and add it too the dry stuff there is a lot of things one can do to bring back moisture to overly dry bud. its probably going to taste like shit regardless though but on saying that i dont cure or sweat dry my weed and it always tastes good

I ordered one of these the other day are they accurate?
good enough. I have at least 10 of them. Ill have to buy some more as I often don't have enough. They are all within 3 RH of each other. When not in use they sit in a large jar with any unused Boveda packs. This shows how well calibrated they are.
