How many times can you do this before you blow out the 1 gal?
Several but not sure really. How many times can you do this before you blow out the 1 gal?
I've grown monsters in 3 gallon grow bags.I have stored plants in 1 gallon bags for like three months And no root issues.
I've never washed my fabric pots.Several but not sure really.
I usually don't reuse the ones but the larger ones last a long time.
Im lazy
Im sure there are varying qualities of bags.
My old buddy used to wash his in a 55 gal drum full of an sns? concoction of some kind. (i think)
I've gotten quite good at perfect transplanting, your petty artifice is no match for my skills.
Although I attribute a lot of it to superthrive, honestly.
Glad to see we're all devotees of the lollipop method. Lots of hippies and old hands who just let things go, it's horrifying. (I feel like the neighbor who's mad you don't mow your lawn, but I can't help it)
I've never had root issues in smarts. I just don't like watering constantly. Some people don't mind watering every day. The green house girls go through the 2 gallon stage super fast. Here is a plant I grew in a 1 gal
I was curious as to the state of the roots. I cut the bag away and you cant even see roots.
Maybe some bags are mage of the wrong material but like I said.
I don't have root issues
That plant went like this.
Seed into peat pellet
Peat pellet straight into that bag

I've had bags go for years and years. I just dump dirt and rinse them with scalding hot water from the tank house. Store them and use em again. I left a few with dirt from last season to try some no till. I pulled the old stem out from last year and stuck a new baby right in. Their doing just as good as the others so far. I obviously started feeding them earlier.Several but not sure really.

He was large scale and indoor so when he got pm or something it was a major problem.I've never washed my fabric pots.
Plants don't seem to care...
Yeah my big indoor bags go outside when Im done.I've had bags go for years and years. I just dump dirt and rinse them with scalding hot water from the tank house. Store them and use em again. The first year I did it I didn't have to feed until right before flower.I heard that 'no till ROLS' works best in 30 gallon or bigger.
This year I'm not running anything bigger than 10 gal so they'll get dumped on the recycle pile in October.
Do you top-dress with organic nutes after pulling the old stem, or just run it as is?The first year I did it I didn't have to feed until right before flower.
Pretty amazing
I never heard that ...... the ones I did it in were some 10 gallons I bought to throw some extra clones in during late season last year. They seem to be doing fine. I literally left them outside and like I said pulled the old stem out this season and replaced it with a baby. Roots organic 707 soil. These were extras as well that didn't make any difference to me wether they lived or not..... I just hate killing healthy babies for no reason. Might as well play around. Constantly learning is what keeps it interesting.I heard that 'no till ROLS' works best in 30 gallon or bigger.

The first time I just ran the bag with roots to see how long It worked.Do you top-dress with organic nutes after pulling the old stem, or just run it as is?
That's what I'm doing this year. I didn't amnend em or anything. The first time I just ran the bag with roots to see how long It worked.
Now I top dress with dry amendments.
Only took having to empty and move a few 100 gal pots for me. Had to peel them off the ground...I remember i use to slice the bottoms because I refused to believe the roots would pass through.
I never told anyone. Lol
But I eventually tried it and well,
It works.
Lol, i use to help dude sometimes.Only took having to empty and move a few 100 gal pots for me. Had to peel them off the ground...
