What kind of deficiency?

Was wondering if anybody could tell me what kind of deficiency this is. It's only showing up on these 4 same cloned plants.
Yellowing streaks and blotchiness but what has me stumped is its showing up at the top first and working it's way down. If it were nitrogen deficient then the yellowing would start at the bottom.

Notice in the last pic theirs a leaf that's split down the center vein, green on one side and yellow on the other.

Bro Ive been seeing this everywhere on RIU lately. I know youre on the greenpointseeds thread (alot) and I posted about it on there (dont know how you missed it). What you have there could be a "mosaic" virus or lack of feeding(what I gathered from doing research on many other forums). This is on my auto outdoors.

Now I believe my situation is that I have some sort of virus because the grassy area underneath the "infected" plant is showing the same symptoms on the many blades of grass near the runoff. Oh and this "mosaic" virus can be spread by touching, air movement, using "infected" tools etc. Im not saying YOU have a "mosaic" virus but be careful.

Okay so you were the one that commented about the mosaic virus, yeah I saw that.

I was thinking the same as far as it does look a little like a mosaic virus of some sort but I'm holding onto the hope that its nutrient. It seemed like a couple of these clones started to do this a week and a half ago and I gave them a heavy feeding and it seemed like they greened up but now are swiftly going back to this look. I wasnt paying close enough attention when it comes started though so I couldn't say for sure, just noticed yellowing starting in and hadn't fed them yet so I gave them a good dose.

Maybe that's all it is, I hope.

They have been extremely happy and growing super fast, maybe they're just running out of nutes. Just never seen yellowing start like that from the top.

They're day 25 and have pretty fat colas for only 3.5 weeks. Hopefully they're just burning through nutes. They are just in a 1 gal pot and have mostly gotten clean r.o. water only so they aren't really getting the micro nutes unless they exist in the soil, its gotta be something of that sort I would think/hope.

In my research I found two specific strains that seem to carry this "occurrence" the chem d and the white. A guy on thcfarmer did a tmv (tobacco mosaic virus tests and several other mosaic virus tests that came back negative). I still cant find the smoking gun as to what it is though. They had a solution to fix it. Something along the lines as (dont take my word go to thc farmer for a better description) taking cuts dunking them in a diluted bleach solution, grow those out and take cuts again and dunk in the diluted bleach solution again and these clones should not have the variegation. Others upped the feed and it went away to a degree. Good luck!

Yeah that's interesting. I also know that russet/broad mite damage can be mistaken for tmv and I've had broad mites before but of the handful of symptoms those mites cause, I dont remember a mosaic look such as what we have, being one of the symptoms of those mites.

The plant that these clones came off of didn't show it and the clone I took off one of those 4 plants isn't showing it either.

At first I was thinking maybe magnesium deficiency but I've since mainly scratched that because the yellowing isn't staying between the leaf veins.

Have you checked ph and everything? It does look a lot like Mg or K problems. Have any tip curl or anything? You say you've only given water.. what are you growing in? When do you usually have to start feeding?

No tip curl going on, havent checked soil ph but water is ph'ed correctly. Growing in organic soil that I mixed up, this is my first go with self mixed soil. My other plants are absolutely loving it but they're in a little bigger pots so their nutes are lasting them longer.
My goal is to be able to not have to give extra nutes, kind of playing it by ear being my first go at it. With these plants in question only being in 1g pots I'm sure I will be feeding them here soon.

One of them is ready to be watered today, I'm going to give her a little Epsom salt and maybe a bloom booster that's 0-4-4.5.
For 3.5 weeks into flower they have some real fat colas already. The original seeded plant had the fattest leaves I've ever seen on a plant, I'm thinking they're extreme indica leaners and almost thinking I'll be ready to pull them in about 4 weeks. 15314302633816587980391244549708.jpg

On the middle plant there's some yellowing leaves with dark spots forming, would that be a cal deficiency?

I've had a couple of plants show a perfectly split down the middle finger of a leaf turn yellow just like yours...it wasn't anything like mosiac virus, they cropped out just fine, to be honest I really don't know what the hell caused it. Well, for symptoms to appear at the top, it's an immobile element that the issue is related too...but nutrient issues are so rarely a problem with the actual nutrient; it's almost always a root issue of everything from PH, to watering habits, too weak of feeds, too strong of feeds, etc etc...have you made any changes to your feeding regimine before these symptoms began occuring?

No they were getting plain water up until that point(3 to 4 weeks or so just feeding off the soil) which is what makes me think it's a nutrient deficiency. They've been very healthy and happy, drying out every 2 to 3 days, I dont think they've gotten droopy on me once either.

I was doing a little searching last night and I saw some pics on growweedeasy.com that looked like what I have and they claimed it to be a potassium deficiency.

A couple of them should need to be watered today, I'm thinking about mixing some potash with their water and see if that does anything.

Yeah growweedeasy is a really good source of info I love that site. Yeah that could very well be it, potassium def was what I first thought when I saw the leaves. Let us know if this helps solve your problem! I think you're on the right track with them!

Yeah the one showing the most symptoms I just gave some liquid cal mag and about 3/4 of a tbsp of potash top dressed in a 1 gallon pot yesterday. We'll see what happens, its yellowing fast. But the yellowing is coming from the top and middle, not the bottom like an N deficiency would show.
