Girlscout cookies Auto, tangerine dream auto and master kush grow journal

Hi guys! So I started a grow journal on a different website and wasn't getting any feedback or advice so I decided to move it here hopefully you guys are interested and have some input! So my set up is pretty simple I've got 1 300w maxsisun dimmable LED light, a 4" carbon filter & fan set up, (that will be upgraded again before flowering) and an 8" fan, all in a 2x2x4 grow tent. I also have a small greenhouse that I'll be doing vegging in from now on (also herbs and vegetables but we arent here for that)
I'm growing in a mix of organing potting soil with Coco coir (about 50/50) and then there's an additional 30-35% perlite and vermiculite mixed in as well and I'm using general hydroponics flaura series for nutrients

So right now I've got friends growing, first is girlscout cookies Auto from fast buds, 3 weeks in as of yesterday, a tangerine dream auto from Barney's, and a master kush plant that is from a bagseed so it's my experimental plant, I topped it and have been training it to grow even and flat.

Ill post one picture for now, I'll add that I used yellow sticky traps because I had an issue with fungus gnats that seems to be getting under control, and the small pot in the front has a small dying plant that was pineapple Express, it's not worth trying to ressurect anymore so I'm just waiting until the new seeds I ordered come so I can add a low rider to the mix

I wouldn't over do it. 2x2x4 might be small for 4 plants even if autos. Some grow over 4-6' tall. Also your light is probably half of 300 watts. Now most CSG are small and yeild on the smaller side but are killer smoke. The Tangie sounds and i believe leans more Sativa. That could get tall. Concider topping/tieing down to help keep shorter. Kush is indica so should be good. For led usually 30 watts per foot is good so your light is fine. Good luck and keep updating and hope it turns out good.

Thanks for the reply! The gsc and tangerine dream are both autos and a good portion of their flower time, unfortunately is going to be under 12/12 with the master kush (assuming it's a female) I tied master kush down and topped it for a second time the gsc hasnt started to stretch at all yet, but I've got like 500ft of garden tie and a few other things for plant training so hopefully I'm prepared. Also for flower I plan on adding a 100w red cob light it's supposed to be pretty good for supplemental lighting. I'll post an update with some pics later!​

that was my original plan but when I started my project I wasn't expecting the master kush to survive! I was thinking to practice different training and stress this plant out to learn more about how much these plants can handle, but it's looking so good I wanna keep it going. I wanna run two tents in the near future but that depends on my s.o

I've got a (separate) greenhouse and a few CFL's that I was using before I upgraded to the maxsisun, would you recommend I veg the autos in there and then add them to flower in the tent when they get bigger/start to flower?

Definatley. Let them autos get as much as they can handle. 18/20/24 depends on if its too hot and you need cool time in hottest part of the day, save on the bill or like some that believe even an auto can use a "sleep" time. I leave my lights(led) on 24 hours.

Even just a little sleep helps build better bud structure IMO. Even though they get less light it seems to speed things up a little. I've also noticed I get better trichome production with sleep. I wish I had 2 small 2x2 tents I could do a side by side with just to verify my theories.

There is definatley a correlation between dark and trichs. Mad people SWEAR by giving 48-72 hours total dark before cut and they go crazy with trichs.

Little update, I had turned off the light last night because the power was flickering and I didn't want my lamp to get damaged, and forgot to turn it on before I left for work so they were in the dark for longer than I would have wanted..anyways theyre coming along slowly but surely! I also moved tangerine dream under the cfl in the green house

Would 10 hours of darkness possibly be an alternative? is 12/12 an absolute unbendable rule for photos?

Here's an update for ya, they look awesome, the master kush is definitely starting to get a lot bigger and theres tops growing everywhere, gsc is looking good too, new set of leaves every day. Also the tangerine dream has two full sets of leaves now, anyways heres a few pics! The tangerine dream is currently under a 32 watt 6500k cfl, is that enough of should I add the additional 26 watt bulb I have?

For young veg 32 watts is fine going to need way more though as she gets bigger. Id add the 26 now for sure. Like i daid, without looking for sure Tangerine sounds Sativa. Tall and lanky most of the time. They do look good so far though.

So I ended up leaving the tangerine dream under the 32w cfl for now, until I can get reflective material to line the greenhouse with, and then I'm going to use LEDs, I put the 26w cfl on the top shelf of the green house and my so is going to use it to grow out a short rider in a small pot for fun. I looked up tangerine dream from where I got it and it says that the genetics are 80% indica 20% sativa + the rudaralis genes to make it autoflower. (however that works out..) girlscout cookies started showing pistils all over the top and master kush is definitely stretching and getting ready to flower, no pistils yet though, I'll post some pictures later!

So I tied all the colas down last night on master kush to open it up, within 2 hours the tops we're all facing the light again, gsc has a few more pistils now, and it looks like it's getting closer to it's final height, definitely stunted and I think that's due to not starting it in something else to establish some roots before planting it. Also I'll show you the greenhouse with all the lights in it, took me a while to find a good way hang them, Anyways here's pics

So I've been keeping an eye on the master kush bagseed. And while I know autoflowers start flowering really fast, I have never worked with any photo plants before, so my question is, is this too early to tell sex? Or can anyone tell if it's male/female? I've been on 12/12 for 2 weeks now

It's structure looks female but ya there's no way to tell yet. Don't under estimate that cookies. I have a feeling it's gonna get bigger than you think.

The master kush is a female! There's pistils growing on the tops! I'll post pics in a day or two when we've got some good progress going!
