Collett was the subject of a 2002 Channel 4 documentary in the United Kingdom called “Young, Nazi and Proud,” in which he states that AIDS is a “friendly disease because blacks, drug users and gays have it.”

“The Jews have been thrown out of every country, including England,” he says in the documentary. “Let’s face it, when it happens that many times it’s not just persecution: there’s no smoke without fire.”

More recently, as documented on the blog Angry White Men, Collett has been a frequent guest on white nationalist or “alt-right” podcasts. Just last month, he co-hosted an episode of “This Week on the Alt-Right.” The episode’s “special guest” was American white supremacist and former KKK leader David Duke, whom Collett praised.

60.6mill people in Italy in 2016 and 200k non-EU migrants arrived that year.

That'd the equivalent of 1mill "Mexicans" (because they're all "Mexicans" to the right) arriving in one year, when in-fact Obama was humanely deporting (no children's concentration camps) so many people there was a net loss for several years.

Where's the bogeyman all these Republicans are pissing their panties over? Maybe if we want to control immigration effectively we should elect another Democrat?

Still not a single rebuke from his own party for bring a literal nazi
Authoritarianism is a powerful siren call for the less intelligent, those who want to be told what to think, how to behave, how things 'should be'. They are all too willing to give up personal responsibility and agency for security and dimly wonder why others aren't willing to do the same.

Uncertainty is scary. Choice is confusing. Free agency means the chance to make mistakes. The half of humanity that brings average IQ down to 100 does not trust their own intuition or problem solving ability, or by extension any one else's. They want someone to tell them that they already have all the answers. Trump knows this and plays on it above all else.

I'm not saying any of this to justify their position. It is essential to understand the mindset of the adversary in order to find ways to effect change.

These people will change their mind- if slowly and reluctantly- once they figure out that trusting self interested tyrants is a fool's game. But in order for that to happen, they'll have to suffer- and the rest of us right along with them. Our job is to hasten that realization and then to provide an attractive alternative without asking them to do the one thing they don't trust themselves to do; think.

It's not as easy as it sounds. As you may have figured out over the last 5 years, simply telling them they're wrong and insulting them is not an effective strategy.

It's typical being as right wingers have a history of blaming the 'Jews" for everything
It's much easier to blame outsiders than accept responsibility. Leaders who do the same are easy to understand and thus identify with.

This may be a fatal trap for humanity; down through history, we humans have been suckers for demagogues time and again. It's the kind of lesson we teach history to avoid, yet here we are. The Republicans cut school funding, then offer up petty tyrants.

Coincidence? I think not.

We are world class at;
  • Wrecking the environment
  • Indebting our children
  • Building a totally excessive and unnecessary military industrial complex
  • Enriching the few at the expense of the many

The majority of society could make some real changes, but they are too busy fighting each other/defending their allegiance to party parties.

@NaturalFarmer

Why is the gop spreading nazi propaganda now?
Not the first time America's elite got together and plotted a Fascist putsch against the country. They tried before in the 1930s.

I'm hoping the pendulum has swung as far to the right as it's going to go, that public opinion will increasingly turn against them and those who espoused such extremist views will in the future be seen as the desperate and dangerous crackpots they are.

But it's no sure thing.

Germany had to lose a World War to shake the disease of Fascist authoritarianism.

What might America have to lose if we can't bring it to its senses?

The World Wonders, enemies and allies alike.

I don’t want a country full of ‘ILLEGAL’ immigrants trying to push some bullshit medieval ideology on my country... there are LEGAL paths to become a citizen. Killing those that do not believe in what I believe is fucked up... my children deserve a safe country that provides for it own citizens... it’s pretty fucking simple

The tweet says nothing about illegal immigration though.

Because the citizens of America are raping handicap women for anchor babies.... fuck off not apologizing for wanting to keep MY country safe
First and fortunately, the US is not just your country. It's mine and other people's too. We have as much of a say as you do. Many are like me in that we don't see any good reason for incarcerating people who at worst have committed a misdemeanor.

Second, all this border security stuff isn't going to make the people in this country any safer. Even from terrorists or cartels or especially not them. Not even any safer on a personal level. Most acts of terror in the US are committed by native US white supremacists. Excluding them and just looking at jihadist terrorist attacks, 85% are by natural born or naturalized citizens.
