Yeah running 220 is nice. Makes it so much easier with a light controller being able to run four 1ks on same timer. I'd just stick with hortilux bulbs since your running magnetic ballast. If I had the height I'd just do DE but I'm limited to 8ft height.

Anyone here used a Nanolux OG ballast before.

Its emitting rfi like a mofo.

Ive tried everything.
Ferrite chokes aren't working at all.
Ive done the obvious too like shortening cords.

Ive tried a faraday cage.
Im sure the main unit is fine, and its my lead.
Cant buy the Nanolux rfi kit in Australia either.

I have a couple ferrite rings coming.
But im at a loss otherwise.

Has anyone had the same thing?
I s it at all possible for cheap bulbs to do it?
Same bulb.
New hood, and ballast.

Im just about to use magnetic if i cant sort it.
Growing is a standstill atm

Thanks to anyone who can help.

Sorry for butting in OP

Can you get a https://www.amazon.com/Hydrofarm-Revolution-Ballast-EMI-Filter/dp/B011A8KHKI in Australia? Do you have access to magnetic ballast if can't get rfi/emi blocker? I had one of those nanolux og ballast for veg room, didn't last more then a month, luckily guys at hydro store changed it out for galaxy ballast for me.

Yeah thats my problem.

Since our silly gst on imported goods. Amazon are only selling Amazon.au only.

The snap on clips aren't working at all.

I nearly am at the stage of just getting magnetic.

Thank for your advice.

Appreciated.

Magnetics are so cheap and reliable with no real difference in quality of end product. Only differences I ever noticed was the magnetic ballast have a pulse to there lighting more then the digitals, magnetic are heavy and can't really be hung easy like digitals, and magnetic have slightly less intense output by very small amount which makes them less efficient then digitals.

Do you have local law enforcement going around with AM radios or tv company's going around checking for high rfi leaks? I'm not familiar with Australian laws.

Your totally fine dude, i actually love this topic. I moved to a town with shitty shitty internet infrastructer and my digital ballasts that worked on 110 were knocking out the wifi for the people next door an shit. Rfi is no joke! Thats why im using my old magnetics again. Im gonna try to use my higher quality electronic ballasts again when i run new 220 power but with magnetics you wont make any rfi.

Yeah.
Pretty much.
If they're sus and watching your house they'll check.
Apparently they dont need a warrant. Because they just say its circumstantial.
I hear they dont need a warrant to pull up infront of your grow, in the car with radio turned on.

Its more that i like to listen to am radio. But i cant, and worries me if others cant too.
Its just unnecessary attention.

I think i will just go to good ol' trusty.

Its funny, because my cheap shit digital ballast was better insulated than this Nanolux OG.

Thanks man.

Thanks OP.

I think i will resort to them tbh.

Seems like the logical approach, after hearing you guys out.

I tried my best with the digi.
I'll grab a magnetic one.

Thanks

Tim.

Digital ballasts and RFI... I have run mags and Digi. Digi had the goon squad knocking at the door talking about cable tv system ingress. In a red state would of been game over.

They make lamp cord side filters for that now.

Xtrasun digitals don't do that. Solistek digitals do..
