Blue dream grow

Hello, I have 5 blue dream growing under 2 king plus 800 watt LEDs in a mylar reflective tent. They are 40 days flowering at the moment, their last feeding will be today and then I flush them 2-3 weeks. What do you think?

Pics are from day 38 I believe.

Why are you going to starve them for three weeks that is when they will need the extra nutrition to fatten your buds.

To flush out grow chemicals and force the plant to use its nutrient reserves, best to use just water in the last 2-3 weeks or even 1-2 is better than nothing. Flowering is 9-10 weeks for blue dream so I have read. They’re near week 7, day 1 of week 7 is the beginning of flushing.

Its a hot topic flushing. But if your going to do it anyway then yeah late on, 3 weeks left and possibly more and your cutting out what the plants need when they need it most.
Personally I don't flush, it only moves mobile nutrients from the fan leaves to the buds. If it took "chemicals" out of the buds then all our buds would be yellow when we smoke them, plus the non mobile elements are, well non mobile.
Better to taper nutrients down slowly IMO.
Like I say though, its a hot topic which causes much friction.

Yeah have been decreasing nutes according to a schedule. So should I not flush to help with flavor and smokeability? The buds don’t stop growing even while flushing since they release reserves and also cannibalize by absorbing npk from leaves which is why leaves die off or yellow.

It’s yield vs flavor/quality supposedly. Just not sure if I should flush in case of possible harsh smoke now.

I am using fox farm liquid nutes this grow.

I taper off my nutrients.... the coco gets hotter anyway otherwise.
It has a small effect on yield, but my weed is smooth and burns cleanly.

Yeah I have been reducing nitrogen slowly, I cut out grow big so far, big bloom, Cha-Ching and tiger bloom are what I am using atm. I’ll probably just aim for last week flush. Won’t need more than that I don’t think. I just want my buds to taste delicious honestly, don’t mind losing a small amount of weight if they taste delicious.

I just feed bottled organic feed the last week or so and water in the last feeds.

If you want to have the really glittery weed, get good nutrients like Elite.

Yeah I am going to be trying new nutes for sure. So it’s just called Elite? do they sell packs like fox farm?

I used to flush for years. That's what I was taught to do pre internet . Then several people presented the science behind not flushing and the lack of science for flushing so I tried not flushing. I didn't taste the harshness nor the chemically I expected to. So I stuck with not flushing. I do taper right down and I grow in coco and reuse it so they get a couple of plain waters for last two days to help reduce the EC of the medium.
For me its about slow dry and cure for the flavours. Quality should always be the priority.

Like I say though its a controversial subject which gets a lot of folks very upset on both sides of the argument. At the end of the day they are your plants and your lungs will be smoking them so its your call entirely.
Its a very nice smoke your growing. I saw some real variations across the ones I did. everything from straight blueberry to straight pine and everywhere in between, but all were lovely!

You get a large kit with all the little supplements. Pricey shit though fora large grow.
But if you are growing for a dispensary or broker, that is part of how you get your price.
Tell them straight up I am using Elite,RO water etc...

Shitty taste comes from using nitrogen in flower and a bad cure. Zero reason to flush any more than normal. I alternate feed and water, harvest after water day. Maybe 2 water days if theres a lot of green.

Good to know it’s just nitrogen that is the issue, well my plant is super green, I have cut grow big out completely so far. So I will just use water the last few waterings before harvest. I have tapered down already a bit.

If my leaves do not start to yellow from the plant leaching nitrogen, should I worry and maybe reduce tiger bloom to a smaller amount as well since it has nitrogen?

Yeah I am going to try it this way, I’ll show the results on here of course, no doubt they will be good.

That’s the goal, to get into commercial growing for dispensaries and what not. Haven’t got my foot in the door yet but I really hope to. I’ll have to definitely check them out and switch nutes.

My plants were green as grass when I harvested this last round... One of my best tasting grows yet.
The plants were just so healthy they didn't want to fade and the flowers were done.
