Hi growers
This is my new waterfarm (hydro+top drip)
Need some advice on weekly flushing ?
I’m using dalkine 420 nutrients + atomic root power
After 15 yrs growing indoor and out really wonderful nuts so far.
If need more pics let me know
(Professionally checking Ph/ppm/temp 3 times per a day)
Now 5.8/700ppm

It depends on how much water you have, the temp of the water, light leaks, running nutes hot, and a few other things. I use around 50-gallons in my rdwc, keep water temps below 70, don't over-nute, no light leaks, etc...and I really don't have to flush the whole grow, for normal flushing purposes (removing excess salts and slime). Those two things shouldn't happen if everything's in check. I do flush twice during the grow though. Once when transitioning from veg to flower, so I can remove the majority of veg nutes for bloom, and once before harvest, to ease off the nutes for flavor.

If at any point the water has an odor, I flush right away. It's a sign of a problem, most likely with the roots.

Hi
Really thnx for your great informations
I just wonder how light leaks is goin to be a problem for a plant and then how to fix it by the flush!?
Actually I don’t have any light leaks
But i heard about weekly or 10 days or 2weeks flushing in hydro in too many threads .
I just going to play with it by lowering the ppm every 10 days and also add atomic roots .is it wise?
Please check out my plant i do super low stress technique by hanging wires also top the plant 10 days ago (it was a clone)
Now it’s about 16 days in waterfarm
Any idea

A lot of people go by the "better safe than sorry" method with flushing, while others, like myself, think it's a huge waste of water and nutrients. If you're new to dwc, then you might want to flush weekly, especially since it looks like you've got a small water supply. After some grows, you'll be able to better tell if flushing is needed.

Your plants look fine. You've got some nute burn on the lower leaf, so you should probably check your tds. If you've already adjusted everything then you're good. The damaged leaf won't repair itself, so don't worry about that. With hydro, especially dwc, you want to stay right on top of issues that effect your plants, because things happen really quickly.

Hope that helps :)

Actually all unhealthy leafs are back to clone stage .I got 2 ssd clones from a dispensary and goin on this ones because of more branches.
Today I’ve change my bulk water eith fresh ones also +120 ppm as before .
The plant really doing well.
I could see a lot of white healthy roots on top(behind the foil).
And also it was great that no roots coming down ,its really important to see rooting on the top bulk befoee they going down the water .
I’m always doin drip watering system .
But i notice circle driping is doin more great on top.
Another question I set my ph on 5.5 and let it to be up.(every day 2/3 time checking ph/tds/temp for see watch things asap.
This time no ph down needed because the water get the right ph by the nuts (5.50) so i just let it goin until night
Any suggestions
