Why can't America win wars anymore?

America has been at war more or less continuously since 1991, or for some 27 years now. In spite of the fact that we have the most powerful, best funded, most technologically advanced military in human history, we manage to find ourselves perennially unable to win wars against second rate forces in places like Afghanistan.

Why? Because we are still fooling ourselves about counter insurgency ops and the lessons of Vietnam;

How would you win the war in Afghanistan ? Have you seen the terrain in Afghanistan ? How many countries have ever successfully started a war and won IN America ? Why is that ?
Do you think putting women in cages is torture ? Would you treat a cage woman to a meal that cost more than 50 bucks ?

We had little business in Afghanistan in the first place, so not going at all would have been winning.

Torture requires a lack of consent.

I've taken women out to meals that cost a lot more than that. Some of them were even worth it- the meals, that is lol

Do you support Al-Qaida and the Taliban. Do you think Osama bin Laden should have had support and a hiding place amongst the Taliban. Do you think Osama bin Laden had anything to do with 911 ?

You also did not answer as to why no country has successfully started a war on American soil, since we fought ourselves in the civil war . Please don't include ww2 because Hawaii was not a state yet. Why do you think no wars come to America soil ?

Why don't you like to treat a women to a nice meal now ? Would you treat @schuylaar to a meal and makeup removal

You're so far off base it's ridiculous.

We don't want to win wars. That's not the point.

The point is money. So long as you have wars going, you have money just roooooooolling in.

Do you really think they give a shit about the troops?

Of course they don't. They wave the flag, shame anybody that speaks out against war as "hating" our troops and let the defense contracts and the kickbacks thereof roll on in.

It's all about money. It has nothing to do with winning a war.

I think we're using different words to say much the same thing.

The lack of desire to win wars amounts to the same end result as inability.

Vietnam was the original example.

Imagine the unemployment rate if the poor didn't die in wars.
Imagine the unemployment rate if the defence industries (talking bout the factories that are located in every state ??) had to stop making stuff because there was no longer space to keep any more.

How many tanks are made per month and how many actually need replacing every month?

Because they’re all based on Capitalist Imperialism and Ideology. You can kill a person. You can kill a million of them. It’s much harder to kill an idea, and personally, I have no interest in genocide. And money’s a shit reason to put young men’s and women’s lives on the line.

I’d like to..Imagine, that is..the US is going to be in the fight of its young life in 2020.

We’ll take your thoughts and prayers now because I fear an actual Civil War coming.

Third Eyed Raven told me.

God Save The Queen.
