I took it as ironic, clearly it was artistic license to anyone but the credulous
I don't know if Buck has the same license to play with the idea of dead children that we give comedians. To me it crossed the line into poor discretion on his part. I don't think it is reasonable to lump jokes about dead Palestinian children with Holocaust jokes. With the kind of license we have here to explore the edges, why go there?

Again, teenagers throwing rocks at soldiers aren't really children...

The IDF shoots anyone that comes closer than 100 meters to a 15' high fence.
Somehow I think that rocks thrown at that distance will have much effect.
Oh, that's right!
They don't!
I guess that explains why NO FUCKING ISRAELIS HAVE BEEN EVEN INJURED!
None, nada, zip, fucking ZERO!!! (while dozens have been shot dead and over 700 wounded)
Fuck Israel.

Hamas is simply the right of the subjugated Palestinian people to defend themselves.
How is blowing up innocent people defending yourself?

What makes Israeli's murderers but Hamas somehow noble?

Throwing rocks somehow doesn't seem to rise to the level of something that requires a response of deadly gunfire from machine guns.
Fun fact: Rocks are considered weapons.

Here's a test: Pick up a baseball-sized rock and throw it at a cop.
You will be charged with aggravated battery.

And for the record, both of you idiots totally dodged my point -- teenagers engaged in violence aren't "children".

First, the gunfire was into crowds, not directed a individual rock throwers. Second, tell me. Do you think the Israeli troops would have shot into crowds of Israeli's even if rocks were thrown?

Third, this:

Video shows Israeli sniper shooting Palestinian as soldiers celebrate
https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/10/middleeast/video-israeli-sniper-intl/index.html

Jerusalem (CNN)With international criticism of Israel's response to the Gaza protests growing, video emerged on Monday appearing to show an Israel Defence Forces (IDF) sniper shooting a Palestinian man standing near the border fence.

After the Palestinian man falls to the ground, soldiers are heard cheering in the background. One yells, "What a legendary film!"
The video, which circulated on social media, appears to be through a scope, showing the Gaza border fence and a field behind it.
The sniper is heard discussing the shot with another soldier nearby.
"When he stops, you take him down," the soldier says. "Are you on him?"
"I can't fire because of the barbed wire," the sniper responds a short time later.
"Take out the one in the pink," the other soldier says after a few moments.
IDF soldiers cheer as you hear the gunshot and see the Palestinian man fall.
"Son of a bitch!" one soldier, who appears to have recorded the video, yells. "What a legendary film! I haven't seen this kind of thing for a long time."
A group of Palestinians can be seen in the video running to the fallen man's side and removing him from the field.

In a response to the video issued Tuesday afternoon, the IDF said in a statement that the video was filmed on Friday, December 22, 2017 during what they termed "a violent riot."

At the time, protests were held in Gaza and the West Bank following US President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

"The video depicts a short part of the response to a violent riot, which included rock hurling and attempts to sabotage the security fence, and lasted about two hours. During the riot, means were taken in order to disperse it, including verbal warnings and calls to halt, using riot dispersal means and firing warning shots into the air," the IDF statement said.

"After none of these were successful, a single bullet was fired towards one of the Palestinians who is suspected of organizing and leading this incident, while he was a few meters from the fence. He was hit in the leg and injured. The video was not filmed from the position of the shooting, and was filmed by a soldier who was not part of the unit of the soldiers who fired."

Israelis invaded Palestinian territories and ran over neighborhoods in tanks, after those bombings, if I'm not mistaken. So, yeah, Israel avenged the bombings. Didn't stop the bombings. They went on every year until 2008. Since 2010 to today there have been two, the last one in 2016. Hamas has changed it's charter to recognize Israel and has sued for peace talks several times since. Israel's government is having none of it. How does this end? There are 2.6 million Palestinians in the West Bank. What are Israel's plans for ending all of this?

What's your point? Do you want me to call a rock thrower a murderer or something? I didn't acknowledge your statement because I didn't say Israel was killing children. It's Buck who keeps talking about killing children, go ask him.

I'm saying that shooting into crowds is not an acceptable response to rocks being thrown. Feel free to not acknowledge that.

Apparently it's ok to shoot teenagers with machine guns for throwing stones. Adding a negative adjective to the conversation reinforces that point and somehow adds even more credibility. I wonder what would happen if white police in Chicago shot black "teenagers" for throwing stones.

American cops shoot black teenagers in the back for holding cellphones in their own yard.

It's become the new normal.
