Hey guys I recently bought a cheap 8 site bucket cloner to test out! Well I used it once with 100% success and now im hooked! So a few min ago I just purchased a 24 site turbo kloner! 112 bucks was a good deal to me!

My questions are the first cheap bucket system came with small samples marked a, b, c, with instructions to be added at one scoop of each(it came with a scoop) i will soon run out of that! But ive got a giant bottle of clonex gel that ive always used and will continue until it gone!

Im wondering whats the best solutions to use ive seen clonex, clear res even heard of adding silica! And ive also heard to use just plain water! So whats the best I dont need the most expensive stuff on the market just soemthing that just works good!

You can do a search here for aero cloner and you will see just like most things in this hobby there is a wide range of uses and opinions.

I personally use nothing but water, my pump is on one minute off 4 minutes. Some strains have roots in 7 days others take over 2 weeks.

I also cycle my cloner pump on/off. And I'll use additives if I get something free, but normally just tap water. All strains root at diff times but just like @BleedsGreen says, roughly 7-14 days. In between clone runs, I run bleach water through the machine for a bit/rinse.

hey hey, no need for any additives, you already had a solid run, do what ur doing, yes do cycle the pump, constantly soaked cuttings may turn into mush!, some people run the pump 24/7, personally i had success bot ways until the stems rotted once, also as fa as additives goes, the most u may need depends on the water. to say somewhat green as a cutting, remember its not getting nutrients, plain tap water at a reasonale PH should be at 200ppm of calcium and magnesium, in the end i went back to making rootings in plain ole rockwool, and i did everything hydroponically, good luck bro and have fun and stay safe!

Clonex gel, clear res, and Rx Life clone solution. I've been using this combo for close to 2 years with 100% success. I do run my pump 24/7, with the only stem rot occurring when I ran out of clear rez.

the gel will wash off, so if you want to use it, make your cuts, coat them in the gel, and let them sit there for an hour so it can soak in. otherwise it will get washed off in the cloner and diluted down to useless levels

Get your cloner ready...
cut clones from mom and put them straight into glass of water
take them to your cloner, dip them in clonex gel
put them in cloner and let them sit for a few minutes
then turn on the cloner 30 on 30 off

I only use distilled water from my local grocery store during cloning. Also add clonex solution as per instructions I think 5 ml per gallon.
After 5 days you should have at least root bumps, they may be small but will quickly grow. I normally let them stay there for 2-2 1/2 weeks to get some nice growth, then move them into their hydro beds.
