Still a little cool here but a lot better than it was. The trees still don't have any leaves but they have finally started to bud. Its still going to be a month till everything greens up. Imlooking at planting on may 4. Its still plenty of time. Plants planted out when its warm still seem to catch up to those planted when its still to cold. Ill keep everyone posted. You can see how fast these grew in just 25 days. Happy growing.

Hey G.G 420 i started getting sprouts poping through the soil on 4/20 ;) they are the Dinafem blue widow. I got 10 for 10 a couple of them needed TLC but they pulled through. On Friday I ordered some stumble weed from get away moutain seeds. I only ordered 10. That will roughly give me 20 photoperiod plants. Along with eight autos that I will start in a couple weeks.

Getting ready for my second outdoor garden this spring. Started seeds about 5 weeks ago, and I've been hardening them off for about a week. In my area of Michigan we are supposed to have some great weather starting today, so all the babies are moving outside permanently, I hope. I want to stick them in the ground in the next week hopefully.

I did pretty well last year, although I had pretty bad luck with males, 4 out of six had to be purged! Putting in 10 this year, I really only need 2 average sized to carry me and my patient through the year.

I have a roofless barn to grow in, only 8 foot tall walls so I had to do some bondage to keep the height discrete. I love Hazeman seeds, esp. The Mikado which is my all time favorite smoke, so all the genetics are his...trying to figure out how many of my 10 slots will go to each variety. I have several of each of the M, G-high, hippy headband, and some l.a.pure x ChemDog tester seeds.

Been loving all the outdoor discussions, I found out that a lot of my indoor growing experience did not apply. Thanks for all the sharing!

Hi! Questions...are you in the u.p.? Do you plan on using supplemental lighting to keep them from flowering?

P.s. just a note. Tho the weather is warm now you need to make sure you are out of danger of frost. Still a bit early to keep them out permanently. Weather can change in a heart beat and we can get hard frost all the sudden in mid to late may.
Also the hours of sunlight is still a bit too short to stick them out if they are 5 weeks old and sexual mature. They will go into flower without lighting. Mid May on is a bit safer.
Always happy to see another female grower in here. Wish the best of luck to you and happy growing.

I'm in the southern part, actually at 14 hours of daylight right now. They were at 16 hours of light up to now; I thought this would be ok, but I can add some fake light for a couple hours? Love some advice if I should.

The weather forecast, for what it's worth, calls for night temps no lower than 50 degrees from now on. The seedlings can stay in their little pots for at least the next week, so I can move them in at night if needed. They are still pretty small tho, and can easily be covered with a big bucket if weather gets too cold or stormy.

Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate help!

Yeah I would add some light for sure. And a good word of advice if it does get to a super chilly night...water the soil well. It helps insulate the roots. And I will take a water bottle and fill it with warm water then place close to the plant and cover.

K, thanks. I don't want to set them back at this point! Looking ahead, I see 15 hour sunrise to sunset in about 3 weeks, will that work? Or can I back off earlier than that? We get 30-45 minutes between sunset and dark, the same in the morning, do we figure that in somehow?

there is a sun calculator you can. Look up on google for your specific area. 15 is still cutting it but could work. What is your hours of light right now indoors?

16 hrs inside. I did Google it, found that about 3 weeks from now there is over 15 hours from sunrise to sunset, plus the extra hours of twilight and predawn.

When figuring the safe to go outside times, stick to actual Length of Day. And take good notes. If you do run into early flower problems, you will have your notes to look back on and see which strains are more touchy than others. Good Luck.

I'm so frustrated because I could plant right now but I am waiting for them to take the bans off the roads so I can get the manure delivery..... hopefully that happens soon

This season is gonna suck for me, I had 6 seedlings moved em to my shed my lights stopped workin then a mouse ate the plants so here I am may 4th starting 6 more seeds

Going out to spot some more locations today. Already found about 2 different spots. Thinking of planting up to 6 plants all around. Already have an idea how they all will be planted. They will be in ground and be protected with a homemade fencing for sure. I'm try for after mothers day. N.IL

I’m in I’ll and getting a late start gonna run a couple auto strains and a couple fems, if these beans pop otherwise I’m gonna have to go with all autos from a 2 day shipping center, my bean I got germ now weren’t stored properly and are stressing me out this far! Hope my year isn’t over before it’s begun! I wasn’t planning on doing any this year but found them (totally thought I lost them last year or more moving) we will see though!!
