2 leaves growing on one?

So I plucked off a small damaged fan leaf and threw it aside, after retucking my small little scrog I took a closer look as I always try to do, then noticed something strange, another small leaf was try to grow out of the same branch. Was curious is it just some weird mutation Mary j sometimes gets or is something more sinister going on that I'm not seeing? IMG_20180220_110554.jpg IMG_20180220_110613.jpg IMG_20180220_110521.jpg

That's good stuff, maybe I'll DIY a quick exorcism before I chop em:bigjoint: But really I've had more curve balls thrown at me by this white widow strain than any other. But the smoke is great when all said and cured.

had that happen with miracle grow soil. too much N, had a petiole grow from the spot where it meets the leaf, like stacked leaves. was crazy. could've been a mutant. was killer mids seeds, turned out fire. white buds, no joke. keep it, it may be dirt, but it may be that diamond in the rough.

Shit happens like myne being a 13 blade leaf. Usually a genetic mutation. Doesn't usually hurt anything.
i've had 13 blad leaves with an extra petiole and leaf growing from the leaf. only happened on the plant i sprayed with that seaweed spray. was told that seaweed and kelp are natural pgr's and could possible cause this.

Ever hear of the cannabis strains in mexico that police chop the main stem at soil level, yet it grows a whole new plant from the stem? crazy what they can do. i topped 2 plants recently and 1 grew 3 new shoots (tops) from that spot, the other grew 2 but also grew a leaf from the same spot. crazy. thought it might be the kelp/seaweed in MC doing this, i'm in no way complaining. the plants have blueberry in them, which iirc have been know to have mutations specifically chosen for during breeding, so it would seem like the crosses might show the same traits. no?

I have been interested to understand why the traits happens for a long time. One person I talked to felt it was from being slightly high in Nitrogen.
I feel mine are likely genetic but I'm just guessing. My reason is because I've had the 14 blade leaves, the bud in the leaf and my favorite, the clover leaf like HydroRed's 1st pic. I was in soil and was growing them with water only up to the stage they showed up in most cases.
I have seeds that I can get to express that trait every so often. It usually only happens with my plants when they are at their best. Showing full expression is what I like to think.
