A simple organic garden

It started off normal and then topped itself, with three main heads emerging so I just let her ride lol Super cropped them with some lst to keep them low as possible. The jack was a freebie seed from seedsman so it probably is a mutation lol hopefully it’ll genetically mutate into some fat buds :leaf:

2018 round 2 started. If they catch me they gonna catch me with a tent full boys that’s all I can say.....found these in a zip of some “skittles” my boy had. Was some good smoke with dense nugs and covered in frost. Smelled just like a bag of purple skittles. Anyone know of a skittles strain out there or is this just some made up name?

pretty sure that's a strain.

I’ll have to do some research on it. The zip I got was only a handful of dense, smelly nugs so when I found some seeds I was pretty excited

Little update.....going to flip sometime in the next week. Hit them with some water and worm juice(10/1 ratio) and did some super cropping and haircuts. Once they recover I’ll flip and the fun will begin. Pics are crappy and rushed, will get better with that in flower.

Honestly to be so thrown together I’m really happy with what I got right now. Pretty excited to see what happens in flower. Got some more bag seed “skittles” beans pooped and a few clones taken. Last pic is a blurple group shot...you can kinda see everything filling out nicely.

Little update for my 4 or 5 viewers hahahaha.......my partner is a complete idiot I do believe so I’ve had to battle the temps and humidity still and now battle his stupidity but other then that things are rolling along. About a week and a few days into flower now with just water the last few times. Gonna make a nice tea for them in a few days with some molasses and a little compost mixed.

They are a little dried out in the pics bc homeboy just doesn’t understand how much water they actually need.

Well I’ll be damned....2 of the 6 in flower are males. Leaves me with 4 now. 2 are def girls and the other 2 I believe are males. Luckily the clones I took happened to be from the females!! It’s looking like I’m gonna end up with just a gorilla cookies and jack herer. So much for the bagseeds.
2 girls is better than none ;) and how lucky were you to take cuts from the females?! Nice work. Cheers!

I know right? Things might actually work out after all. Fingers crossed for these next two weeks!! Any good flower tea recipes? Thinking of something basic i.e. compost/bsm tea but I remember @MustangStudFarm saying too much P giving him some problems so I’m open for any new ideas

there is nothing wrong with a compost tea, just don't overdo it and you wont have problems. I don't even think P is a concern with molasses, positive it's K... which the plant will eat up readily in flower mode. however, you can still overdo the compost teas by jamming too many bacteria into a good soil, which will sequester nutrients in their bodies, which then need to be consumed and excreted by nematodes, protozoans, worms, and arthropods. It will also disrupt the balance of the food web. So really, one tea at week 2 of flower, and one tea at week 6 would would be all you need to do (and even that is not necessary)

if your soil is good, don't worry about nutrient teas. the plants will take what they want when they want it from the soil. hormone doses would be better, like coconut water once or twice in the first couple weeks, and aloe once or twice during the 4th and 5th weeks. small doses of hormones can be a good thing... but high doses can be overwhelming to the plant. So err on the lighter side of things and let your soil do the work.

if you're looking for extra nutrition, topdressing some additional amendments with compost and covered with a mulch would be a much better option.

Yeah it def was K dunno why i was thinking P! I still have plenty of compost left so I couldn’t easily topdress. Also have some good looking aloe plants so I’ll try the aloe water for sure!! Just want to make sure they have enough good stuff to grow fat and juicy. As always thanks for the help brother!:weed::leaf:

The high P is from compost. If you add tea to a soil that has toxicity issues. Well, I never had luck with it. I don't exactly know what was going wrong either? I have a brewer that is better than some/most.

I have been battling high P and K lately and it has been from my compost. I think that everyone has different environment and will have a different battle. You really will not know what is going on until you get a soil test and everything is just speculation until then. This is a $30 test and all of the shipping and lab fees are included, there is a prepaid envelope inside the box. You just fill out a little card and keep a bar code to look up the results on their web page. This is a new testing method that will show soluble nutrients. That means that there is no guess work on what nutrients are locked-out, like a Mehlich 3 test.. The "Soil Savvy" test is good for testing P because only a small portion of P is soluble and this will tell you exactly what is available and not just the total amount of elemental P such as rock phosphate that has not broken down yet. Mehlich 3 tests suck, I found out the hard way. They are not very helpful..

Sorry, I went on a rant because you said that you are using a lot of manure. I was just trying to share my problems with too much manure, it was always high in P and K. Here is rabbit manure that has been aged for 2yrs. This is the Soil Savvy test. See the extreme amount of P, 15x too high. It is probably causing micro nutrient lockout, mainly Fe.

Welp, one crappy Chinese LED decided to die on me so that gave me enough reason to hook the 400 watt cooltube up just in time for the buds to start setting. Gave them all a light aloe foliar last time I watered and they seemed to love it!

First two are the buds forming on the gorilla cookies and the last is the jack herer. Pics are with the fans on but I tried to get as much focus as possible

I think im finally starting the see the light at the end of the tunnel. The ghetto chamber has been a pain in the ass so far but it’s what I got for now. After a little aloe foliar a few weeks back the girls seemed to improve and the jack herer was actually praying at lights out...couldn’t believe it! She def loves the higher temps and humidity right now. Poor ole gorilla cookies is struggling and hating every minute of it I believe. I’m gona have to get her some nutes to finish out for sure.

So far I ended up with 2 in flower(rest being males) and have a few clones in veg. First pic is the jack herer, second is the gorilla cookies, third is full body nudes of both. Left is the GC and right is JH. Last one is the clones under a ufo led. :peace::leaf:

Halfway through flower now or so and they are packing on some weight now. Jack herer isn’t loving the high temps and humidity. Poor gorilla cookies hates it and can’t seem to get enough food in her fat ass. Just like a woman. lol first two are the JH and the last two are the GC:leaf:

At the point now to where I get excited everytime I open the tent. Girls are rolling right along and starting to get some more weight on them. Last water I gave them a little aloe foliar And topdressed woth some compost just to help finish out. GC began to fade a few weeks ago so I’m trying to help her finish strong. The JH has been in heaven so far. She loves the high temps and humidity.

Fist two pics are some buds from the Jack Herer. Third is a bud from the gorilla cookies, 4th is a full body of the JH, and last is the GC full body. Gotta tie the branches up bc the buds are getting so fat now!
