2x2.5 Grow Tent Advice Needed For Short Plants

Hey well I am still getting all my needed materials for my project. I will be doing strawberry kush which is a very short strain. So I am wondering how many I can logically grow in my 2x2.5 tent? I am thinking 1-3 plants would be ideal. I was going to do 2 but then I was thinking and looking in my grow tent and I think I can fit one more smart pot in it. Plus the thing is I am in a lot of pain as I have IBS which has made me pretty much unable to do much. It's really debilitating. So I really don't want to grow 1 or 2 and then be kind of disappointed with the yield when it's done. So do you think 3 strawberry kush plants in 5 gallon smart pots would be too much for my tent? It's a gorilla 2x2.5 with a maxsisun 600watt led with timer.

it really all depends.. i got a 2x4 tent for clones and a short veg before i toss them in my 4x4..

i got 3 in 1 gallon pots right now in there.. i topped 2 of them and the tent is basically full.

in my 4x4 i do 4 in 5 gallon pots..

it all depends on your potsize.. i definately would just do 1 in a 2x2.. i hate when my tent gets overcrowded. or do 4 in 1 gallon pots and bloom them right away..

the only way to find out is to just try it out.

thats why i dont try 9 5 gallons in my 4x4 anymore lol been there done that

Is that the 2 x 2.5 x 5'7 tent?

IMO THAT'S HUGE!

You could grow any strain that's not a big sativa stretcher, or just do some height management when needed. It's good that you're using LED's... Maybe one or 2 plants in there max I'd say.

I once tried growing 10 micro plants in a 2 x 2 x 4 tent, and it was waay too much work. Then went for 4 plants, and finally ended up doing 2 Max. It's just much easier to handle 2 plants.

Maybe just do 2 or 3 plants in 3 Gal pots in there? Setup a scrog and flip to flower when you fill it up, that'd work out wonderfully if you've got the patience.

I've seen people grow one pounders (and more) in 5 Gal pots, so maybe go 3 Gals to limit size a little bit...

Thanks ok well this strain is suppose to be under 3 feet I saw someone said it can go up to 4 though, but yeah I have 5'7 feet to work with so should be ok as far as height goes. Alright and the other thing is I am new to growing basically and have tried to read up and do my homework for a bit on growing but really don't like the idea of topping my plants or having to bother training them right now. I am just kind of hoping to grow them out as is, as nature does, for now. Topping sounds like a pain in the ass to me for various reasons, I tried it once and it killed my plant so I am not wanting to try it again, at least not at this time. I was thinking when harvest time comes it would also be much more time consuming with trimming the buds.. If I did top them in this small tent it would definitely blow up way too big in size though. So needless to say I wont be topping them. Training them with a screen? Again this looks like too much to handle for my small tent to do that either. Just 2 or 3 small plants I just hope I don't regret doing 3, that would not be cool to have to chop it up if it's too much to fit inside the tent.

It's a learning experience... SOme things sound complicated at first but as time goes on they become really simple.

As long as you grow and harvest, i'd say you're good :)

No offense but fuck what he's talking about... This is my first grow in a tent and I'm going to do all of that... topping, scrogging, whatever else I need to do to get the best grow that I possibly can...go hard or go home!!! Now,my question is, what kind/size light should I use for my tent? I have a 2 x2 x3

You’re eventually going to want better lighting. Like, COBs, QBs, or EB/F Strips. Any pics?
I have heard of cobs but don't know much about them yet. I will have to check into it but have not heard of the others. I like LED because they do not run hot like HPS or MH lights and with the brand that I bought it's got the timer function which makes it easy to use. If I could rig up a timer somehow with those other ones I might be interested at some point down the road but wondering..

1: If they run as cool as LED lights?
2: Why they would be better than LED lights.. you say they are better but I have to wonder what makes them better?

Pics? ok I will try to get something up..

And all of that is not necessary... I come in peace and I leave in peace!!! Peace!!!

The biggest mistake when you are à newbie, is to try anything without knowing what to do thinking they Will have huge harvest on their first time....
Try first To grow healthy plant that your goals, you want top shelf homegrown To smoke and not à ton of ditch weed homegrown...

Little setup:
Light: quantum board 240 or 2 cxb 3590, 2 luminux cm22 , 2 clue 1212 or 1818, 2 vero 29 (choose 3500k for clue and cxb, 3000k for the other) cobshop.net or rapid led got nice kit premade at à great price

Pot: 4 3gal smartpot, organic soil or light mix with liquid nutrient or coco (1g smartpot) i use organics most of the time
With dry organic nutrient mix with light mix buildasoil.com got nice premix and recipe for organic

3week veg or when they at least 40cm and bloom, just try to understand Her need and thé way she grow on your second grow you will do better trust me and you will be able To play with them with lst or start trying topping in that case add 2 weeks veg and top after the 5th true node

I thank you kind sir for your help and information and I will strive to grow the best bud that I can... I will say again that I didn't mean to offend anyone when I said what I said, but it seems to me that the guy wants big results but he doesn't want to put in the work, that's all that I was saying... Now... Right now I'm working with cfls... how many would I need to use in this tent to get a good grow out of it??

COBs are a specific type of LED. Except COBs were invented to replace HPS in industrial highbay/lowbay application due to better efficiency and heat reduction.

Cree CXB3590s are about a year or two outdated. Vero29C 7th Gen 3500k/90 CRI.
