I emptied a box of 50 Whip-Its in a single day a month or two ago. Definitely rapid tolerance building.
I've wasted a braincell or 10 on those things. I loved em. I had a sweet cracker that would hold like 4 whip-its at a time and was trigger controlled. We all used it so much I was replacing the rubber "O" rings on it like once a week.
That thing stayed icey cold haha

Right. @shorelineOG bred this backcross, and has a legit cut.
do you understand how all that backcrossing works? i've done a bit of reading but never really had a firm grasp on the whole deal.

if so, can you give me the "for dummies" version?

maybe @shorelineOG can chime in too on how he did it exactly and what he started with. a seed or a cut of the original?

in lamens terms.... you have two parent plants that you breed to produce the progeny or offspring. this is known as the F1 generation. When you take one of the offspring and breed it back to one of the original parents, you have successfully backcrossed.

You have to have the original. You take a cross and you keep crossing its filial generations back to the original.

so here's a scenario:

what if i had a clone of strain X (female). then i made some clones of X and forced one to become male so i would have a male X and female X. what would a cross of fem X and male X be called? is that the same as backcrossing to make a BX1 of X? or would that be a F2? or none of the above?

i need to start reading the botany book i found a pdf of on here.

S1. Hypothetically speaking, you selfed/feminized it. Use Silver Thiosulfate or Colloidal Silver. Resulting seeds are feminized (2 female sex chromosomes guaranteed to be near exact copies of the mother, because the father pollen is genetically female and is also the exact same genetic material as the mother.)

yeah, now that you put it a different way, makes total sense.

have you tried breeding anything yourself?
Not yet. I am working on it, though. I want to breed this Shoreline Bx3 to the Acapulco Gold, IBL the shit out of it, then breed that to an SR-71 PK x Sour Diesel, then IBL the shit out of that, too. Then I have two of my own strains.

Sounds like some killer mixes

I crossed a bad ass sour diesel male to trainwreck. Grew a few of those females out and picked the best structure and most potent one & back crossed it to daddy sour diesel.

Currently growing out a few of those backcrosses just see what I have and possibly back cross it one more time . I’m trying to take some of the lanky wildness out of the train wreck while maintaining some of the train wreck High.

So far, so good

I will be running your Sour Wreck at some point soon enough, too. And anyone who contributes their work to my experiments, I will be sure to credit them as well.
