So, this is Shoreline Bx3 from Shoreline Genetics / @shorelineOG (NOT Devil’s Harvest; legit 1980s Shoreline from Texas, named after the Grateful Dead show at the Shoreline Amphitheater which this legendary strain debut’d at. I don’t know the whole story of this particular backcross, but I think we all have no doubt @shorelineOG’s stock is legit.)

Running 2 from seed currently in solo cups in a mixture of Roots Organics Formula 707 and GreenLite. I added OregonismXL. That’s about it. In a day or two, I’ll probably water in a small amount of Buddha Grow and Trinity, as per the Roots Master Schedule, which has served me well in the past. I am hoping for at least one male. I plan to breed it to the SR-71 PK x Sour Diesel, in particular, and grow a few F2s for personal consumption. Here they are, above ground.

So, like I said, Fridays are Shoreline’s official “Day 1” but assuming the other one breaks ground by Monday, we’ll call Mondays Cycle Week Day 1.

Here’s the current Shoreline, happy and healthy as can be under 200w of 3500k/90 CRI Vero29C Gen 7s, build by Timber. Growing in a mixture of Roots Organics Formula 707 and GreenLite.

If for some god-awful reason this last Shoreline doesn’t pop, I am going to run some heirloom Acapulco Gold and hope one of them is male.

My Roots Organics Dry Nutrients Player Pack reup just came in. $90 with shipping.

Next order of business is to get some Surge, Trinity, Buddha Grow, and Buddha Bloom, since they are pretty labor-intensive and small in the Master Pack.

Zero Day
(Tomorrow is Veg Cycle Week 1 Day 1.)

One of the Shorelines is above ground and is thriving. The other seed is still stuck in its shell. If I can’t get it to pop by Tuesday, I’ll probably have to consider it a dud or that I might have drowned it trying to get it to pop.

In any case, if it fails to pop, I have heirloom Acapulco Gold on deck which I got airmail’d from a friend in Ireland. If the Shoreline DOES turn out to be a male, I think the Acapulco Gold—a landrace Sativa—would be an appropriate thing to breed it to.

Here’s the Shoreline Bx3 on Zero Day:

So, I fed both of them from one small cup containing half a teaspoon of Buddha Grow and half a teaspoon of Trinity in probably 6-8 ounces of water, mostly to get the OregonismXL inoculant I also added at about 1/4 teaspoon per cup going. That was Saturday. The Acapulco Gold is above ground, seemingly thriving, and due out of its shell any minute. The Shoreline is doing beautiful, rooting pretty aggressively for the not-even-a-full-week it’s been alive. Here they are.

I would try and lightly mist that seed shell to help soften it and give the seed an easier chance at shedding it (if you're not already that is). How old is the Acapulco Gold seed?

I think she bred it from a ‘60s-‘70s AG and a Barney’s Farm female, but I could be wrong. She sent two Barney’s Farm Fems with it and labeled the one “Original Barney’s Farm” with the date, and the others just say Acapulco Gold/“AclG”
