google Persistent Surveillance Systems. they make a system that's specifically designed for smaller towns and cities that mght not get access to large planes. But a 2nd hand Cessna can be found for about the price of a police cuiser...

There's a nice little story of how they were hired in Juarez Mexico. They flew the system on a Cessna 182T over juarez 4 hours. They were able to spot a group of gangbangers assemble, how one left the group, killed some rival down the street, how they all ran and were even able to point to the house where the guys hid.

One Sherriff put it this way: “I want them to be worried that we’re watching,” Biehl said. “I want them to be worried that they never know when we’re overhead.”

tin foil hat time.

Nah, I'm talking about Gorgon Stare, doesn't need even a Cessna, uses a Reaper drone. Too expensive for towns to buy right now, but they can probably get a federal grant or the feds can put them up and share with local law enforcement. We're screwed lol

"The system is capable of being parked high above a small city or town, with the whole area being observed persistently, allowing for tagging and tracking of multiple vehicles and even people via advanced software. At the same time, the system can also record patterns of life in real time, making notes when certain tagged vehicles or people come within proximity of one another or when large congregations of people or vehicles appear in certain areas. Additionally, multiple users can use a single Gorgon Stare WAAS feed at any given time, making the system's God-like view of the terrain below a major force multiplier."

I don't worry about that, the problem is these things can be put on blimp for 24/7 surveillance of a huge area. The article i read said it had 368 cameras and many people could use it at once to view different areas, making it affordable to deploy.

i'm not really worried, they don't have enough cops to go around now, where are they gonna get more to sit and watch everyone on all these cameras?
they fly the planes and choppers around here, but most of the time, that's all they're doing, flying around, letting people know they're there.
i'm actually in favor of it in most cases. i'm kind of tired of gangs and organized crime. if the cops use it for that, more power to them. if you're careless enough to get on their radar, aerial surveillance isn't going to make a lot of difference.

More cost effective to watch cameras, and if the government takes a turn for the worse, what then? Course if you're innocent what do have to worry about? lol

if the government takes a turn for the worse, the last image they'll get is a drone full of explosives crashing into their observation platform.
or an rpg, or whatever it takes.....people got pissed enough to overthrow a goverment in this country over the price of tea ( a gross over-simplification, i know) once...let's see what it takes this time

I worked around systems like that. When the radar is fired up for testing they mark off an area around it. If you crossed it your organs would be cooked.

How do you know the people who take over aren't worse than they ones they replace? They'll still use this tech against their enemies.

There's no people around, this is mounted on a drone and this isn't radar, its 368 hi def cameras.
Correct. I was on a tangent. Just rambling.

What I'm talking about was used at very high altitude for directing troop movements.

No particular point. I was high. I really doubt they were spying in on the op.

Even though its on a drone I'm quite sure they fire the systems up on the ground. As you said its safe because no radar or other damaging radiation.

I'm sure they used scaled down versions of systems that do emit radiation.

I didn't look at the image very well. I read up on the gorgon system. Kind of scary what they can do with it.

While on a CG ship we tied up on the water front in Victoria BC for a couple of days of "meet & greet" with the crew of a Canadian Naval Frigate (they hosted us).

Both ships left before scheduled as (the way I heard it) some of the Frigates crew got a bit rowdy in a hotel bar & were forcefully ejected. One of the guys promptly went back to the ship & fired up the air-search radar and fried all the registers, c/c machines etc... in the place (and probably a few others too).

Dude quit tripping. Grow damn balls. No one in a plane gives a damn about you and a bag of weed.

I've grown right in the landing flight path of an airport. Helicopters and planes low level all day long.

Had the police knock and talk to them standing 50 foot from my grow exhaust.

Had helicopters come in on me while I was cutting a patch. I'm talking dropping from ropes and everything. I grabbed a big arm full of bud and hid under an old tree that fell down. Helicopter was blowing the leaves off me. I tore bark and rotted parts of the tree to cover up. Watched them cut the patch and leave. I walked out later with the bud I had.

If you break the law be prepared to do the time. If not, don't break the law. Expect things to happen when you break the law and keep calm.
You're a fuckin bad ass lol

Wow! I missed this. Glad you got away.
