That stinks about the auto seeds. I would give them a shout and see if you can get some comp seeds.

And I'm just an old outdoor guy who almost never uses lights. But many who do say that at least one hour of dark a day will help the plants live a sort of normal life. The sleep time is when the toxins and such is removed.

When do you start shortening the day, and how much shorter each week? Assuming 14-15 hours Length of Day in mid May, you will need to trim 9-10 hours in 9-10 weeks. Chop off too much time all at once, and they might early flower on you.
I did email the company ... tho It will be hard to discuss what is going on when you are not allowed to speak of germination or growing.
I will have to find some clones to replace the autos...I won't even waste my time on them.
As far as the lighting goes...I was going to start to tapering off the lights starting next week. I usually decrease them 2 hours at first then 30 mins every week past that. Then I throw them out end of may and I've never had a problem with that.
I know the company shut down and then reopened...even the way they package their seeds now is different. Just a shame....and I hope no one else got bunk seeds.
Thanks for the love

Do you not have room in your great room for the autos what ? Both types of plants have their advantages

Room yes... but I don't have flowering lights anymore. I sold them a few years back because I only grow outdoors now. The lights I do have do not have the spectrum to pull off a decent yield...plus I already trained these so not many bud sites. Won't produce much really.

Im in line with bottom of the lake. Little south of you. Illinois has some great soil just have to find the good spots. Happy growing.
You too ill be picking up some cilantro to grow as well to keep them bugs away. And a motion light detector for the deer. As well as other defensive mechanisms
