So i bought a Bunch of alfalfa seeds two yrs back... I planned on making ssts with them but they are treated so no dice... I plan on growing it and using it in two diff ways... One way is to layer it as a green input ib my pile... I plan on making some super killer compost to do some tests... The 2nd way i want to use it is to turn it into a meal... Iv bee reacking my brain on how to make something that i could use to grind it into a meal... I also plan on sourcing a large quantity of raw kelp to do the same 2 things with... I thought of using a mulcher but i dont think that will get nearly as fine as i want it to be.... I will be ordering an industrial or super large blender soon to help with making some amendments... But i dont think this is the route id wanna go with making meal lol... I have about any and ever tool at my disposal so i can make about anything... Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

Ok so I was looking on Pinterest recently; my favorite internet time waster. I came across a pin on making your own bone meal from chicken or rib bones. You start by boiling the bones clean and baking them at 300 degrees F. Then once cooled you just put them in a very thickass ziplock bag and smash them up with a hammer. Then you can blend them with a coffee grinder or blender to a fine meal. Looks super easy...

I wonder what bones would be best... Or if it makes a shit... Deer always eat plants and fruit.. Veggies... So that has to be a plus... I wanted to make fish bone meal.. So i guesw i thought of it but not the way you described... Do you have to bake the bones for them to be properly used

I've never tried it but I would think that fish bones would break down in a compost pile fairly quickly unlike deer or other larger animal bones. Yep Deer eat a natural diet too; no weird gmo or hormone bullshit added like they feed to chickens and beef cows.
