More Guns = More Safer

Yeah good point. If there's no guns available no one will be able to kill themselves in any other way.

I'll say it in this thread as well. Austrailia has a better healthcare system. We push mental illness to the side. Same with Canada.
You say people put words in your mouth but go putting words in mine. Classy. i didnt say it would stop suicides, it woild stop suicide by gun. Read the article i mentioned. The statistics show that suicide by ALL other forms also went down.

I put nothing in your mouth, I used sarcasm to show your point is stupid.

And once again, we have a health care issue. That covers mental illness.

So what is a gun owners solution to this problem? "Saying" we should have more classes and training for people? This whole problem exists because gun owners exist...so how about some accountability and some real efforts to change things? I fish and a shit ton of people polute my waters with garbage. Only the fishermen clean the shit up, no one else gives a fuck...what are gun owners doing to help resolve this issue?
How is this relevant? In reagurds to gun owners and fisherman? Up here almost all fisherman carry for woods protection.

And no one said anything about "training"

There is a difference between being safe around guns

And actively learning how to defend yourself are two different realms

Not being a dick just defending my side

There will always be good vs bad in this world.

There will always be the need for just men with weapons to rid the world of the wicked .

Just the way it is .

Americans just have lost their stomach.

How would they become empowerd to attack ?

This is illogical to me.

As a person that used to be pretty heavy in martial arts i always felt bad if i hurt someone in training. Or beat a guy up on the street (i thought i was going to get in legal teouble cause i beat the shit outa a guy who attacked me )

Just like most mma fighters will try to talk you down before they choke you out cause they know they can :)
They are empowered to defend themselves and to attack others. It goes both ways is what I'm saying. Most will act as you describe but if you empower/arm everyone with guns there will be many that don't.

Again i ask WHAT would "empower " a person to attack anyone unless they have mental problems already?

Arming them empowers them. The mentally ill are included in "everyone" when you follow the logic that more guns = more safer.

I have no problem with gun owners, just to make it clear, my best friend hunts and I eat what he brings home.

Please explain how my argument is stupid. How does your math work? How will fewer or NO guns not result in fewer gun related deaths?

ColdSmoke, I have nothing against hunters and ourdoorsmen who need a gun when doing their thing, I was making a half assed analogy. Cleaning up fishing locations falls on the fishermen. Cleaning up gun control should fall on gun owners but you guys dont even want to consider it....like its someone elses problem.

Who said i applied to the logic of more guns is safer .

I NEVER said such things .

But decent people have a right to defend themselves

I agree cause a lot of gun owners are "rednecks"

But there are those of us who CARRY RESPONSIBLY EVERYDAY AND NO ONE KNOWS :)

First sign your a gun douche bag is openly carring your pistol like it makes people fear you

Im quite the opposite

As knowing several criminals growing up

I know that they just see it as a punk bitch with a gun that is easy to snatch. Off his side when hes not paying attention :)

No one knows i carry un less they give me a close hug :)

I agree if gun owners want to keep our guns we have to keep them outa the wrong hands

Be it children, or un fit adults

I agree to the fact we should have a gun license system .

But other than that no one can spaek for anyone else but them selves

Lol, again, never no guns will result in fewer deaths. Not sure where you got that from.

The .00000001% of gun owners do shitty things, and the 99.999999% have to deal with illogical people. Sucks.

Criminals kill people with guns. Laws don't stop criminals. It's really not a difficult concept.

I don't even know why people mention taking guns, it won't happen.

Having read many of your posts on this particular subject across the various threads here I can confidently say that i do not think you are part of the problem. Additionally you have rational realistic resolutions or suggestions that may help. The question is how do we get this type of thinking across the board and make everyone safer, gun owners and non. At the end of the day a gun owner is just a susceptible to being killed by a gun as anyone else...you cant be looking in every direction every second and if someone starts blasting with your back turned you may not have enough time to draw before being hit.

Sorry for my obvious stupidity but what are you saying in your first sentence here? My argument was that with fewer guns in the publics hands there would be fewer gun related deaths, accidents, homicides, suicides...and you are saying no to that? Just so we are clear and i can feel real dumb.

So why not just sell people grenades, rocket launchers, fully automatic guns?
That's interesting, seeing how you seem to think its okay for you to be buying them to kill people by USA world domination occupiers.

I sometimes sell advice, but I'll give you a freebie, "stop contributing to the things you know are wrong" .

Again, your stats are off. 3-5 homicides per 100,000 people doesn't equal 0.00000001% of gun owners doing shitty things.

I don't know why you continue to argue that gun control measures don't work to reduce gun related deaths and injuries including mass shootings when there are plenty of examples of nations where they do work. Then again, you said you were "for" gun control measures but haven't said what exactly you are "for". You sure do drone on about them not working when in fact they do. What gun regulation and control measures do you support? Or was that all just a lie?

If laws don't work, then shouldn't we repeal our immigration laws, murder laws, rape laws, etc.? Laws deter crime by making them more difficult to commit and providing an explicit punishment. Laws are stronger, more credible when they stand on the side of logic and morality.

You might want to reconsider the math on your last claim. The super majority don't own guns. If gun owners don't start listening to gun concerns and other risk factors like mental healthcare, the majority could return the disregard and pass unnecessarily restrictive gun laws. As a gun owner and hobbyist, I would like to avoid that.

So you agree the weapons are part of the problem and should be reduced. I would extend that to world conflicts, sure. At the same time, there is a reality to confront that makes that issue a bit more complex, same with gun laws.

Here is my advice: stop with the oversimplification of everything to fit your empty platitudes.

Remember, you were the one that came to this thread to nit pick and dismiss the OP even when you mostly agree with what I'm saying and vice-verse.
