Once it's done, it's done, and you never think about that money again.
I know. See the JKx2?
I get such a laugh when people here see pre-manufactured premium light for 1.50-2.50 a watt & no matter how nice it is they say it's way to much $.
All my expensive lights payed for themselves twice over+ the first grow.

If your worried about the price of the light you should probably stop right here.

There's alot of hidden costs and learning experiences.

Whatever light you make or buy will directly effect your yield for your space.

Choose wisely. It's a long few months this befor you endup with any medicine or profit.

I totally agree and I know been doing this for almost 3 years and have had over 10 cycles, but this is my first time buying led!

I'm no where near an expert yet but I've done my share of fuck ups lmfao

Generally you are going to pay more in upfront cost with the LED but the ongoing cost is lower. Never have to replace bulbs and they are more efficient so less energy spent on cooling ect.

I Built my lights around the samsung H series in 2 foot lengths. I could have done it cheaper overall but i wanted flexability of changing spaces and i run mine at 700ma so they are not hot to touch.

The flower lights are 4 seperate lights each covering a 2x2 area each with their own driver for 4 lights in a 4x4. For strips and driver was $150usd. I spent probably another $50 approx on each for wiring, frame ect. Overall i paid around just over $1 a watt for what i built but with different choices if budget was the only concern i could have easily done it under $1 a watt.

I am 2 weeks from my first chop with these and couldnt be happier with the lights, you will definately be happy with anything based on the samsung 561c diodes.

I'm really wondering if anyone has spend more than 1000 dollars on a light. And was it worth it? Bc I have 1000w hps only paid less than 500 and it works amazing super nice size buds and covers a 5x5 with no problem! I've seen ppl building lights for around 6-700 and I've seen many leds going for 1500 to cover a 5x5! I'm having a hard time justifying spending that much!
I pay around $1000-1500 per 5'x5' in led & dont regret it a bit. And yes, I am a former, current as a matter a fact HPS grower too. Dedicating a few grows to side by sides.
I totally hear you about HPS cost & effectivness. There's no doubt you get what you paid for there.
It all depends. What's got you considering switching? Do you need to, want to, or want to know why we did?
It was many reasons for me. Got obsessed. Lol! :leaf:

You don't get it. Never mind.
maybe your sarcasm is lost in your own space. You want a fight or talk about people, but they will not accommodate you. So SAD for you. Maybe go beat up a snowman or something to make you happier. That kind of sarcasm? NOT a nice person with that attitude, but you can blame others for that. You do NOT even know me, but you make sarcastic remarks. a measure of your character. I get emails about you guys and how you behave towards me. It does not go unnoticed by others that do not post, and your so called sarcasm is why. Make friends with that attitude? NOT sarcams, just a bad attitude.
