Day 6 seedlings

Roots look good and strong though actually root bound, but if given the choice I'd rather have too many roots to be rootbound than have weak roots. The cloth bags supposed to prevent that. Nice job! Not sure about the crunchy leaves though. Would be nice to find that out what it is.

Thanks I’ll need to annotate this to remember to transplant a little sooner. Maybe a week. I’m excited about the cloth bags and how well the screen came out. Hopefully these babies take off now that they have perlite and a bigger pot to spread their legs.
I was wondering if the heat from the lights was getting to them because the fan I have is probably not enough. I feel like a couple good size oscillating fans would do wonders in my big room.

Oh yeah. I think you said you got the humidity raised up good so a couple of oscillating fans should do you good.

Overall I’m happy with how the first night turned out. The temps were a little lower than I’d like. I’ve got 2 300 watt hps and one 8 bulb t5 fixture with a mix of different light spectrums to supplement the far edge. I’m going to move my cool hoods over a foot or so to get better light distribution when I get some time. Will start watering more often after today.

Any thoughts on a pan to help pull all the water in to a certain spot to pump out.? I’ve done some searching and I don’t really want to buy anything that I can’t make, more for discretion really but obviously money is takin into consideration. Even tho usually I spend more building that what it would have cost just buying it outright. Can slide a piece of plywood underneath and angle water flow to one side but I was really only wanting to use this plastic floor as a safety to keep from soaking the contents in my garage. I need some hard plastic. But thinking it needs to have a lip or ridge to prevent water from making its way underneath and just sitting there. Something low profile.
Just curious. I’ve got a few days I’m gonna wander the hardware store and daydream. Thanks guys

cheap tiles on rubber liner over plywood, like a tiled shower? http://www.mrmoneymustache.com/2012/12/21/how-to-make-a-relatively-sweet-shower-cheap/
Could raise up a bit so you can put a drain hole and further plumbing and stuff underneath, maybe even a heater if its safe. And build a lip on it somehow. Maybe put it on casters so you can roll it around.
That my friend is an interesting article, and you just answered my question as to how I’m going to construct my bathroom when I build my house. And maybe my grow room. I forgot about those totes that fit under beds when I made my mention about the floor. I can stick those totes in long ways and then fit the catch pan and air pot for two plants in one container. The catch pan is upside down so it doesn’t fill up with water and mold. Then I can suck out the water with my vacuum. Or I could build a sweet floor pan like your post mention because I own my house and I like to do cool stuff.

Wasn’t fully dry, can’t pick up pots anymore to tell.
Fed 2 mL cal/mag
3mL grow big
1 teaspoon open sesame
Not sure why I’m doing the sesame, I think I need to go with tiger bloom or big bloom.
1 gallon each

Also I’m trying to go fully automated. I prolly don’t have the room but I work in the automation industry and can see the benefits/reward to it. Upfront cost is a lot but I’m going slow. Eventually I’ll design a grow room that will incorporate a tastefully automated grown room to be like a right hand man so I can sit back and enjoy my fruits a little bit more

Read this article from a while back. I defoliated alittle today.

https://www.rollitup.org/t/defoliation-a-hands-on-approach.875171/page-2

Also bought a pump sprayer to deliver water to the back plants and to keep the coco from washing out I added some of those light pumice stones you can use for some light aquaponic applications. Was purchased for a fish tank that had some pots on top that you put the stones and grew some lemon grass. And as you can tell in the picture I got 4 totes that stop the water from spreading too far and can clean it out with the vac way easier. E62C3534-F76C-4333-BCED-8FE12B020971.jpeg

Ph 6.3 with 4mL grow big
3mL cal/mag
2mL big bloom
Seem awfully short and squatty for 34 days
I can’t get these guys to stretch. I get like maybe half inch growth a day. Lights bumped to 900 Watts. So I’m running 900 Watts hps 18 hours a day. Is that too much. Seems like a lot. Temps are getting lower than I’d like at lights out. Temps hitting 70. Could be causing issues. I can get more heat if I need to. And to add the tops of the soil is about 8 inches from the netting and there is just a little bit of one plant above the netting. So they are for the most part 8 inches tall.

Alittle warm. I’ll have to work on that, may need recommendations on portable a/c units. Will probably end up using veg room to put portable a/c.

6.5 ph
4mL grow big
2mL big bloom
4mL cal/mag
2mL fish emulsion
Per 1 gallon of water
I made 4 gallons but I only fed half a gallon each so I have another sprayer full of 2 gallons for tomorrow morning.
Now if I divide that up does that mean I under fed. Or is it still concentrated to match what how I typically feed. Which is usually feeding them the whole gallon which means I have a lot more runoff.
Also the lights came down to 50 percent I couldn’t keep the heat down. I’ll need another fan to utilize my 600 watt ballast on anything but half. A fan or an a/c unit. I guess I’ll get to researching that avenue.

Week 5
Ph 6.5
3mL cal/mag
4mL grow big
2mL fish emulsion
2mL big bloom
Applied 1/2 gal a piece once a day so far. Will look into bumping feeding schedule once I figure out this heat issue. Not real happy about running mid to low 80’s. Picked up an air conditioner now I have to pipe it in. Colder weather for now so that should help in the meantime. Got another fan to help with movement.
These are all lst’d In these pics and used a ton of stakes to hold down my branches it’s getting big. I think they have recovered from being pruned

Ph 6.0
4mL cal/mag per gal
Fed a gal each.

Gonna defoliate again and was thinking about taking clones. Grow weed easy says you shouldn’t take clones till hey are 5-8 inches long but will it really cause any problems if they are smaller. I need the practice so I may just take as many as I can and cross my fingers.
