China as a collective hasn't had an original thought in their head, ever.

Where are most of the knock off's coming from? China. That rip off of a country is supposed to be communist, but they have dove head first into capitalism and done it with remarkable Asian slyness, like no other than race can. An entire nation of devious used car salesmen. That's their take on capitalism.

Ok Caslon, what are you pissed about? Newegg. Newegg allows China based sellers to put up false items for sale on Newegg, When you receive a totally laughable item compared to what they offered for on Newegg, they just pull their item for sale on Newegg and make either Newegg or your credit card company try and get your money back for you. Newegg is now owned by a Chinese company, btw. 57% shareholder.

Check out what E-Store from China sent me via their product listing on Newegg. The picture on the right is what they were selling there (Wow!Pad mouse pad). Then take a look at what I received (package on the left).
It's just a bunch of foam pads with Wow!Pad's look printed on cheap foam pads. I purchased 5 at $10.49 ea. I'm out about $59 until I get my money back.

As you guessed, the crafty oriental seller from China has now pulled that item off their NewEgg's product page after I demanded a refund. They will now count on NewEgg picking up the tab for my refund because they listed the item on Newegg's site. See how easy it is to be an unscrupulous Chinese salesman these days? They've outmastered us western nations in this regard. The term "sly crafty orientals" is an understatement. They have risen a negative western culture trait to a high art form. They learn fast from us westerners, yes?

Newegg isn't eBay in that regard. Buying on Newegg, one used to not to have to do that research, understand?. I plan on getting my $59 back, somehow, some way. NewEgg now tells emailers to wait a full 2 weeks before they look into getting your money back. That's not surprising, seeing as they must get a shitload of requests for refunds from the oriental hacks they allow to sell on their now owned by Chinese NewEgg site. Fuk your suggestion to check them out. They are clever enough to know how to fool the average NewEgg buyer. They are oriental communist-capitolist pros. I guess by your reply that the buyer beware? Oh that's great if you want to run with that. Let's go by that creed when you go to buy produce at your local grocery store and what you buy and ingest gets you sick. They will pull it off the shelf and replace it with same, then warn you to beware???

I've bought lots of gear off Newegg over the years. Never had a problem. But buying mouse pads? They are free everywhere with some sort of advert on them.

These days I buy mostly hiking gear. Amazon is my go to, but I'm looking at the 3f ul gear on AliExpress. Sure the tents and backpacks are knockoffs of American brands. But they are a few ounces heavier and a few hundred dollars less. I can deal with that.

Ya, it's not a huge deal, but damn. Newegg probably would prefer people buy with confidence instead of it being one fuking crapshoot. Long story short, I plan on NewEgg coming up with the cash (or my credit card company). NewEgg informs me that any dispute might take a full 2 weeks before they investigate it. it's now wonder to me. They must be inundated.

Where were we? Oh ya...the fun loving posters who you two miss.
Grassy, back in the day, 2016 or so, the outdoor section of RIU was filled with some of the best growers in the world, all having an open discussion on growing. The new laws in Cali and some RIU policies have run most of the superstars on here underground. I just hate you were too late to have seen it.

Noted. Sry to have been a drag on the kind of posting that is of more interest to me, rather than the community. But hey! I really really needed to vent. I probably should have posted in the political part of this forum (China and how they act vs. USA capitolism). For this misstep, forgive me, if you would be so kind to. (99% of lights we buy are made in China, hehe). End of rant, and again...please overlook my temporary rage about $59 worth of Wow!PAd mouse pads and getting counterfeit foam pad knock offs. Newegg used to be more solid 7 years back. They would have not allowed so many Chinese sellers like this to deal thru Newegg, advert a product, send a counterfeit product, bank the proceedings, then haul ass ( I suppose what else is new?). Chinese sellers are crafty good. They learned it from us capitalists. They do the art of rip-off exceedingly well. No? Yes?

Brother, I wasn't talking about you. I get bored and look at these kinds of threads too. Often with regret afterwards.
I know that wasn't directed at me.. I'm sure you've seen me in action with some of these sock account members ... or when people get but hurt when I make suggestions or give my opinion.. some people make comments fishing for feed back and when it's giving they open fire....

Sorry #2. When I Googled the mouse pad I wanted, I got directed to the "market place" of NewEgg.
It's like...I bit. I'm not gonna even try and get my money back. So excuse me please. Heh, Neweggs market place makes it seem like your not in the "market place" but rather at their main site. Apologies all around.

About the Wow!Pad...I like it a lot for gaming. I used to buy them for around $10 bucks apiece.
Now they're like...$18 a pad.
