Using a 1000w 240v Solis Tek ballast in America

I foolishly made the mistake of purchasing a 240v 1000w ballast and now I'm trying to figure out how to make it work. I can't post the link because I just registered, but I found something on amazon that seems like it would work. The title is:
Pyle voltage converter Step Up and Down AC 110/220 Volts Transformer with USB Charging Port, 1000 Watt
Step Up/Step Down transformer converts 220-240 volts down to 110-120 Volts or 110-120 volts up to 220-240 volts.
Would this product solve my issues? If not I suppose I'll have to try and return the ballast and get a 120v one. I'd rather just buy this transformer and get it working though...

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Is it the 240v only model or the switching type ballast that can be used with 110 or 240?

  • SolisTek 1000W SE/DE Digital Ballast 240V Only
  • 1000/750/600W Dimmable Digital Ballast 240V Only
  • Ultra High Frequency 100+kHz Digital Ballast for DE Lamps MH & HPS
240v only. Really stupid mistake and I'm kicking myself for it. I just learned its best when using a converter to buy one with a wattage capacity twice that of what you're plugging into it. So maybe a 2000w one would suffice.

I’d just swap it out for the correct one.

Depending on where you bought it from should be no issue.
3rd party seller on Amazon. The return button was still available and amazon says if I hear no response within 2 days then I can file a claim. I think I'll be alright. Aside from feeling like a dumbass, all is well, lol.
