Hey, everyone. It's a beautiful day outside, sunday, nothing to do. Went downstairs to check on my plant.
OG Kush from RQS
56 days since switch to flower
RQS claims it should be ready in 7-9weeks
Trichomes look mostly cloudy. I'd say 70%. No amber. That is on the tops. Lower buds seem to be slightly lacking behind.
I want the true strain effects. Just a nice, strong, beautiful high. Don't any extra couch-lock effects, as I would grow a true Indica for that.
Flushed a few days ago. 3 or 4, don't remeber.
Should I cut it now?

P.s. I choose potency over weight.

if your downstairs grow space is equipped like RQS grow rooms,
like with ac, heat, dehuey, c02 controls , and you had no issues during growth, like
ph, nutrient, burn, watering, heat, etc....your
og would finish in the same time frame as theirs does. Add more time for any issues you've had
and tighten any ill controls.
If your tichomes are still clear(you say 30% are!) they are not mature and your effects will be lacking.
Lower buds dont develop for you because your light is too weak to penetrate to that depth(not blocked, just weak)

harvest when 100% cloudy. snip a bud now dry and try if you want, I wont tell

Those buds have 1-2 weeks or so to go now is my guess.

They are still swelling.

Overfeeding hurts potency but yield and potency go together in the quest to grow a plant to its potential.

And the best representation of any strain is at peak maturity.

Clear tall full bulbous heads are indeed at max thc but as they go cloudy other canabanoids seem to finish maturing too. And more clears seem to keep emerging. They need to mature too.

I usually look for as close to 100% cloudy on the buds themselves not the leaves and some plants will also have colored trichs that don’t seem to degrade to brown and dented while the rest are cloudy with a couple clear. Lots of sativa leaning phenos are tricky like that.

Once I see more than 5-10% overall brown, dented and or headless falling over trichs there is more degrading than growing and it’s. Or just as close to 100% cloudy as possible to be sure they are all done.

Nice job. But you need to be more patient. If they fade too much give a light feeding. Flushing is a tool to remove extra fertilizer salts from the medium. Not a method.

Cool, thanks!
Yeah I was thinking going until I see the first amber trichomes. Thankfully leaves are not fading, they were actually showing signs of nute burn, so I guess the flush was right what they needed.

youve obviously done a fine job feeding, perhaps if fan leaves were there the plant would have eaten all the stuff u given it but i dont see a N toxicity just a tip burn, perhaps you had some sort of watering infrequency.. gj being so far the plants look excellent and good that your backing out a lil if its not showing yellowing on the bottoms. dont forget to give N with the pk. awesome looking plant but lollipops take a while, out of curiousity how old exactly is this plant, and how long into 12/12 is it? GJ dude ur gonna be happy with the outcome

It started showing some slight yellowing on the sugar leaves on the tops, which I am a little conserned about. Not on the bottom. I guess the harvest is really close, the trichomes did look about 85% milky today. But the lower buds are not as mature. Maybe I should do a perpetual harvest?
Both plants are 114 days old. And 58 days into flowering.
Thank you for your kind words!

Those trichomes are 70% clear bro! Bery visinle in second pic. And the buds are not donw, they are still swelling, you qill loae potency and weight cutting early... be patient , they have at least another week. 4 days is no where near lo g enough to flush if you want your bud to burn well and not be harsh
