How long does it usually take you to harvest when running 12/12 from seed?
Do you feel its worth it? I've heard some people say that they'd rather veg for long times and increase the yield.
Have you ever topped or do plants go into christmas tree mode automatically?

How long depends on the strain, think of it as normal flowing time, and every cannabis plant regardless of light cycle will have a vegetative period. So dependent again on genetics, that vegetative period may last 2 weeks, or it may last 6-7 weeks + . It still goes through all the normal motions, but for this reason i prefer the shortest flowing indica or hybrids that I can find. It's worth it for me as I am building stock, I get to have lots of variety (important for me) and I get to flower a plant as quickly as itll let me which makes room for the next. I have topped, but i prefer low stress training. Plant structure again is largely based on genetics!

Are you saying they go through their "predetermined" veg time before finally flowering? That sounds just like autoflower behavior! Definitely going to try with a few strains to see what results i get. If they actually veg, i don't see why i shouldn't top them at least once ;)

Thanks!!

Pretty much, I've never had a plant go straight from a 2 leaf seedling to flowering leaving a 4 inch tall plant with <1 gram of bud :D They all mature and vegetate to a point where they can produce flowers, some just take a longer time and get tall or branchy

More like becoming sexually mature. Its not automatically flowering like an auto.

It has to be a seedling then it has to grow so big before it can physically hold the weight of flowers.

It normally averages 4 weeks but can take 6. Since it takes a few weeks at least I would personally run the lights at 18/6 for 3 weeks then 12/12. It would take the same time to finish but be a lot bigger.

Indicas tend to into flower faster. Sativas are more equatorial where its near 12/12 year round and they do act more like an auto as they can veg for a 2h8or in 12/12 and some need to be dropped to 11/13 or 10/12 to really set flower.

Though plants will acclimate over generations to indoor light schedules. If you were to breed under 12/12 conditions you could select the bigger and more potent plants and end up with better yield over time.

There is a guy on here that flowers under 8/16 and it would really surprise you how well they do.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/PopularGrow-400W-COB-LED-Grow-Light-Full-Spectrum-90-Reflector-for-indoor-plant-/322012646958?

here you go my friend. Cheap, Chinese made, and over promised yields out the ass im sure. But has been a great choice for my tiny little grow space.
Can't complain about that! I ordered the couple of these a few days ago, to make something to replace the t5 fixture above my work bench.

https://m.ebay.com/itm/30W-50W-70W-100W-150W-Led-COB-Chip-IP65-Smart-IC-Light-Lamps-Warm-White-220-110V-/322263454839?varId=511163561004&txnId=1850968578011

The ballast must be starting to fail in it, so I figure instead of replacing that I might as well replace the whole fixture. Just for grins though, I ordered two extra 50w arrays, and plan to stick them in my veg tent. If they work, great. If not, I'm sure I can find some use for them.

lumens per watt shown only 100 ? This would be less than LED bulb !!!

Yeah, like I said, I'm mainly just putting them in there to see what happens, not looking to mimic the sun. My veg tent has a 400w dimmed down to 200w, so I'm really just looking for some supplemental lighting for my clones and seedlings. The sweet spot directly under the HPS is only so big lol.
