All I was trying to do is make a little joke... a play on words, abomination Obamanation... but clearly democrats have lost there sense of HUMOR. What other senses have you lost? Sorry you could not just laugh, and move on... but name calling and leaving comments like I am stupid or a moron clearly shows that you have nothing important to say. When you can only resort to name calling and cannot support an argument with facts and other intelligent pieces of information you have already LOST the argument.
Love you bye.

While fundamentally, much won't change, we have to start somewhere. One need only look at energy and foreign policy to see that there are vast differences between the two candidates. Or would you argue that we would be in the same position if we'd had Gore in office instead? That is a foolish argument to make.

In order to get the ship moving, it must first be righted. Voting for a candidate you don't believe in may be undemocratic, but the alternative is far worse.

This rhetoric does nothing for the future of our nation in the context of the upcoming election. It does not address any point in my post that is meaningful in this picture. You're free to vote for a third-party candidate (who I'd also probably rather see in office), but it will not effect any change. You can wax poetic about ideals all you like, but unless it is in the context of an action that will have a meaningful consequence, it is nothing more than rhetoric. Work within the system, not against it, and you can see your ideals come to fruition.

Again - do you really think the US would be the same place if Gore or even Kerry had spent time in office rather than Bush? If so, we can end the argument here. If not, then you should address your decision for whom to vote for and the impact it will have on the next four years.

Yes, I believe the United States would be the same place if Gore and Kerry were in office instead of Bush and Cheney. The Corporations wouldn't have it any other way. The US is beyond help, it was an absolutely fabulous IDEA, we are not responsible enough to keep it though. When the De Facto organization known as the US Government took control of this countries destiny after "the Civil War". Check it out, Marshall Law was never repealed, that is why in our court rooms they fly a Military flag, the US flag with gold trim is not for decoration it is very symbolic. Do NOT take my word for do your research find out for yourself. I pray you will see the truth. God Bless you.

Actually I meant Kerry OR Gore, since they ran different years, but the point is the same. I think you should probably review recent history (the past eight years) to realize that many critical policy decisions (that unarguably changed our country) would have gone quite differently even from the other side of the aisle.

So explain to me exactly what your game plan for changing this country? It sounds as if you advocate revolution. Is that the case? Tell me where we would start, since you seem to have such a firm grip on how our political system works.

im no fool as to history or the ways of the world or our pseudo-democracy but to claim there would be no difference in policy or current problems in any way with regards to bush/cheney as opposed to anyone else in office is a big stretch.

People can argue politics til the end of time. Democrats blame the Republicans and vice versa. What you all need to be doing now is getting ready for what is probably going to happen. People are going to get hungry. You need to figure out how you and your family can survive while everybody is killing everybody. We are over populated and it's not going to be nice.

What has revolution ever done? It certainly does not solve anything, sure you can throw off the current set of "Leaders and the Laws" they impose upon you. What then? Will electing a new set of "Leaders and Laws" change the fact that you still have to get up everyday and go spend your valuable time slaving away at some task, while your spouse is off doing the same, and your children are being inoculated and indoctrinated into acceptance that that is just the way it is and you have to go with the flow... ignorance is bliss but becomes a hinderence, so what is the significance? Don't go gettin' all enlightened now, YA HEAR! I believe if you go back and read I said "Take the MONEY out of politics, do not allow anyone to buy canidates(no donations to politicians), and pay every PUBLIC SERVANT from the President down minimun wage. That will cause change. "
This is where I would start. I did not join the Military for the simple fact that I do not want to kill people. I do believe that is what it is when you are ORDERED to shoot, or in any way try to arrest the life of another on the whim of any organization, and not in being attacked directly. That means you get the first shot buddy so make it good, it does not mean I am not prepared to defend myself.

Ok, I agree with the spirit. Campaign finance reform is a good start, and absolutely vital. First, however, you need to have someone with some amount of political clout to effect that change.

You can't, however, pay all public servants minimum wage. You could never attract the most qualified to do a full-time job for that. Look at what effect underpaying our teachers is having on the quality of our education. If they paid me decently, I'd teach in public schools, but as it is I'd have a hard time feeding myself and my family.

VS. Taking MONEY out of the equation, and calling all those who WANT a well run government to step up? These kinds of actions can be totally realized through the instruments made available to us as human beings, being born on the soil protected by such instruments. The Declaration of Independence is one such Instrument, left to We the People, in there are IDEAS about Freewill that only scratch the surface, and of the Ultimate Responibility in Realizing this Actuallity.
I would be proud to stand up and take minimum wage to run any aspect of any Government Institution that could find use for a man of many talents, who is always willing to learn something new. The problem is this, Ceestyle, anyone with any Political Clout is there because they accepted the MONEY, and were willing too... Gov. Schwartzinegger is no exception he already had MONEY. I have lived on less than $10,000.00 for the last 3 years, including my imediate family(my wife, and step child) on less than $20,000.00 for that same time period. I do not need anymore than what I have, but without question of course I WANT more, that is Human Nature. So I only see taking away the ability to satisfy the WANT the only way to assure what you need is there.
