Several provinces have said 'private retail' and the feds have given the okay to craft growers, the problem is the centralized government distribution. We need a system where a craft grower can retail his/her product or sell it to a private retailer without having the government distribute it. Craft breweries are permitted to manufacture, retail and operate a premises for onsite consumption.

Well you have to have an industry before you can get there. I can't see smaller growers having too much of a voice for 5+ years until they are organized enough.or hold enough employed workers to be noticeable by the gov.

BC has a definite definable industry and a large underground work force. Organization is the problem. Most of these guys have the growing and selling part of the business figured out, but there's so much more to it when you are legit. There definitely needs to be a group formed to bring the growers together and come up with a plan.
