Any company that sells 10 seeds for the price of an OZ of bud..has no concept of Marketability...just greed. . Help them have seeds rotting in their humidor...boycott them. Show your outrage.

When you outrageously overprice product, it gives the OK for other thieves create websites and push bag seed for 10-15 per seed.

Most $3-5 strains out there are "just fine" and plenty good enough - it is the environment that unlocks a seeds potential. You expect people to believe that Aficionado's seeds are 50-100 times better than a 30 year old seed bank...gimme a break! It is all marketing and Seeds are headed down the path of Vitamin Supplements - you get to say anything.

alot of truth to what you are saying. the hype game is out of control, and price has certainly exceeded quality. i bought a very expensive pack last year; and an s1 bagseed i popped ended up being better than that pack; and every other pack i popped as well. would not pay what these people aske again though; unless they very specifically had what someone was looking for

I won't dispute that Aficionado has a lot of marketing and hype. However, Aficionado and Mean Gene do well at the Emerald Cup, a double blind competition that NorCal Cannabis nerds take seriously. The card inside the pack says you're not buying seeds but access to the strain. If seeds don't pop they'll replace them and if you just want more I think they'll accommodate you within reason. Also, if you don't want your unopened pack they'll buy it back. I don't think there are any $35-50 packs that offer any of those things I just mentioned.

Also, I'm a total whore for Aficionado Gold Series joints, each containing 1.5 grams of their outdoor flowers and half a gram of Frenchy Cannoli's cured hash with a rosewood tip. I'd love to get a few of their magars but those are scarce.

Kevin Jodrey also holds them in high esteem. I want their Creme Brulee strain as well as a few they don't have listed but I know they were working on.

$35-70 dollars a seed! I hope they replace them. like poppy used to say "A fool and His Money is Soon Parted". so if you get 600 seeds from a plant, that plant is now worth 35-42K? Come on let's get a grip here.Where is the Market settling?

Cannabis is now going Mongrel with so many folks claiming their hybrid is best...it's weed man, you never will get diamonds from it.

Need some good ethical group to come in and cut throat the pricing on all these crazy underground marketing scams disguised as botanists

and furthermore, if someone wants me to spend 150 and up on seeds I want a certified third party report on genetics and bud potency....otherwise I can make a $3-5 seed top notch thank you very much.

Everybody in the grow game is in on that scam mate.
Most people can't grow weed for shit and give up after a try, or maybe try one more time, buying even more crap gear and consumables to try and correct the basics they ignored.
You saw the prices on commercial COB units, and you know down to the parts how much it costs these days. And they get to do it because they peddle hopes and dreams.

The 3 part fertilizers you need to buy, SCAM!
Go count the parts up you need to use.
Something like the flora series at first is used at a rate of 7 -6- 11
You can go buy something at that concentration (or double and use half) at the garden center for probably a fraction of the prices the Bottlers charge.

When I have time to weigh powders and heat solutions for better solubility I use plain fertilizer salts, $8 worth will do a brazzilion liters of water.

ya well knock yourself out with that 70 dollar seed. I find I need to grow out 20-25 plants to get the two I want to mature....I will never promote greed.

WHO ARE YOU.
FIRST OFFF

They didnt ask you to purchase their seeds PERIOD.

YOU might like driving ford focus while others drive Screenshot_20171127-184859.pngdrive these.

They really don't market their seeds.

Lots of work and generations have been worked in their lines.

The problem is you dont know them and IF ITS NOT your money being spent. Why so mad.

They feel their product is worth a certain price point in the market and you call it greed.

Just say the price point is not at what you want to spend on seeds.

People spend money on what they get enjoyment out of and also an experience to get.

I think breeders and car manufacturers can charge whatever they want for their products and it's up to individual consumers to decide if it's worth it or not. If it isn't worth it they'll lower the price or withdraw from the market. I welcome discussion of whether or not Aficionado is worth the price.

I don't think there is any way the difference between buds from Aficionado's seeds and buds from $50 packs like Bodhi is as big as the difference between a Lambo' and a car that costs an order of magnitude less. I'm sure in many cases there is not much difference at all. In some cases you might like cheap ass seeds better because there's a lot of personal preference involved in Cannabis. I've only grown out one Aficionado strain so far, Long Valley Royal Kush, but they were pretty uniform and I still have one of them and have a cut vegging now.

Is Aficionado worth it? It's up to you but at least they're trying to offer something more than elite chucks like deliberate breeding and customer service. Based on what I know about them, I'm confident the elite cuts they do use are the real deal too.
