Seeds won't crack

Yesterday evening I put 2 HSO blue dream and 2 Garden of Green - Green Crack seeds in 5ml peroxide per pint of distilled water, on counter next to wood stove, steady temp around 80°. The blue dream cracked this afternoon within 3 hrs of each other. The green crack shows no progress. How long should I wait until I abandon these and soak more?

5 ml of h2o2 in a pint....too much!

A few drops to use and wet a paper towel.

flowerman is correct.

Some of the best cutting edge breeders, will not accept any complaint of seeds not popping if you do any kind of "soak"..... This is beginning to filter down to some "common" bean producers too.

Thanks all. They finally cracked overnight and are in the soil now. Hopefully I didn't kill them, as not exactly sure how long they soaked opened.
The method I was told, was the peroxide in water, let soak until they crack, then straight into damp soil in a Solo Cup, in a seed starter dome with bottom heat and high humidity.
The peroxide keeps the seeds on the surface of the water, so only half the seed is under water.
Guess we'll see how this works.

I have been told by several people,

Seeds need to breath, thats why people say
Make sure your paper towel is not Wett just damp
Those several People must have Limited Knowledge. Then to further.problem is new growers giving other new growers BAD info.

My seeds all get dunked and depending on how long they take to split their shells it will stay. At times 12-48.

Then into paper towels or even straight into the medium..

Not sure what your plans are for the humidity dome but domes are used for clones, not for seedlings that peek out of the soil.

I put the non spouters back in the fridg for 48 hrs and try again. 50% will pop after the second "season".

Your incorrect about BAD info sport.

Some of the top breeders will not honor any complaint of BEANS DIDN'T pop if you soak...... You spend heavy on an auction or over $200 on a pack. You don't take chances..

Beans need O2 to pop and run. If you use tap water that has sat out, or distilled/RO/Deionised. These have seriously low to no dissolved O2 in them. You can drown the seed very easy.

You soak seeds that are hard to pop. Like Beets seeds, or tree seeds...... You gain nothing by soaking MJ seeds.....

Hard to pop - like someone said "Scuff" the seam of the seed on a nail file.

Whats $200 a pack. Seems pretty standard to Me...

Anyhow this is not show and tell; but to set a premise on seeds you can save the talks on $200-$1000.

Moving along do what you do to start seeds. Most people on the old growth forums like "OverGrow" have been using this tech.

I have about 95% rate using this method. Other 5% seeds where not viable.

At the end of the day to the op. I have pictures above of my technique. Proof is in the pudding, I don't see anyone else showing you pictures.

How about them apples?

Do what you do though @Possum1
