Hello all I have 8 plants that have gone through 9 weeks of veg and are currently in day 8 of flower. Four are Sense of Healing and four are blueberry. I did lots of LST, topping etc during veg.

I don't know if at this point it would be higher yield to spread them out and remove the scrog or if I should continue with the scrog. They are extremely bushy and I keep thinking about how many bud sites will be lost once I lollipop (trim for airflow beneath the canopy) I keep thinking I may get higher yield if I remove the scrog and just spread these bushes out. It's only my second grow so please any advice is welcome.

That's a nice scrog setup.
Don't think 8 plants is ideal for a scrog though.
Usually only a few plants due to the nature of the manifolding going on.
Either way you should see a nice haul out of that.
Going au natural now probably not a great idea.

Thanks man for the advice, and for the kind words I'll post more as the Sheila's grow

Greetings,

Update: trimmed everything that looked like it won't make it to the canopy. Thinned out the canopy's fan leaves. Re-tucked and leveled the canopy. Added another box fan (now there's two box fans and an rotating wall mounted fan). Sprayed azamax again and now the ladies look happy as can be.

Thanks again,
- Mr Wizard

I'd remove the screen and let them go from here without it. It looks like it's restricting the plants more than aiding the canopy at this point. Too many plants condensed into too small of a screen. That size screen I'd run 2 plants under, 4 max if I wanted shorter veg time.

Good job training though and they look very healthy.

If you're 3 weeks in you've stopped tucking by now right?
Time to just let those girls do their thing.
I'll go ahead and agree that it's a bit too dense in there. And too many plants for my tastes. You should be able to kill it though with the way it's spread out right now though in the canopy. I'll bet that was a PITA during stretch and tucking.
Everything else is looking good so far though other than a few bare spots.
Personally I like to have my plants a little taller before the whole "manifold" starts. That's just for ease of access and watering purposes though.
The way I like to do scrogs for short veg is run 6 plants in a 3x3 in 3 gallon pots.

Xs are plants Os would be net. Can flip em when the branches touch the net. Fills out nicely in 3 gallon pots.

Ideally I'll run 4 plants in 5 gallon pots. Just kinda space em off from the corners as evenly as possible. Have to veg around 10 days or so after but less hassle with getting under there and watering.

I'm not sure removing the screen is a good idea anymore as some of the girls have stretched completely across multiple times and are several feet long horizontally now. Next go around in gonna us less plants I ended up in this situation because it was only my second grow and am still learning a bunch .

I know they're really dense but they look pretty happy.

Yea I completely agree about the working space being too small, now that I've had to work in it... I had to manifold them early because the veg room I have is very very short and I didn't know how much of a PITA was creating for myself later...

You're doing fine buddy. You're further along than I was at my second grow. I only managed a 14 headed bonsai by that time. Last run was like 60 heads though.

I like how you've got yours set up. I'll be taking notes on how it's done.

I just want you to realize that the training is already done by now and the only thing the screen will help with from now on is structural support. The downside is the screen can start to act as a bottleneck to your plants causing them to fight the screen and other branches.

Either way you'll be fine and it's your call just giving you something to consider.

I removed the screen today bc I have over 40 stems per plant and the middle ones started dying from the bottle neck... basically I had to chose between removing all but a couple stems from each plant to make them small enough or remove the screen and lollipop later... they'll produce way more this way and I'm using my whole light footprint.
I really underestimated my plants, two of them would have easily filled the 3*3 screen and there's 8 so...

They're back to "natural" and pissed from pruning/moving them. I'll post more pics in a day or two when they bounce back.

Thanks for all the support

Week 4 day 2 of flower, updated pictures below. Ladies are happy with well developing bud sites everywhere. Humidity is the only issue and only on watering days so it's manageable.

Anyone want to start guessing what the yield will be? Five-ish weeks left
